Seranthony Domínguez worked a scoreless eighth with a three-run lead Saturday against the Tigers.
Some interesting bullpen usage for the White Sox today, as Grant Taylor came in during the sixth with a 2-1 and escaped a jam for Anthony Kay. He then worked a scoreless seventh. It was a 4-1 game when Domínguez entered, but it doesn’t seem likely that he would have been asked for a two-inning save after working a scoreless ninth in a tie game Friday. Perhaps Bryan Hudson would have been in line for a save, but it proved moot after the White Sox made it a 7-1 game in line for the ninth. Trevor Richards finished up at that point. Hudson could still get a save Sunday, since we assume both Domínguez and Taylor will be unavailable.

Seranthony Domínguez struck out two in a scoreless ninth for his 11th save Monday against the Twins.
It’s Domínguez’s first save since May 13. He blew a chance four days later and had pitched just once in the last week, getting some work in with a scoreless inning in Sunday’s loss to the Giants. Grant Taylor is definitely a threat to Domínguez in the White Sox pen, but ideally, Domínguez would do well enough to keep the job and leave the White Sox free to use Taylor in tie games and for two innings at a time on occasion. Domínguez thus far is 11-for-14, with the White Sox going 1-2 in his three blown saves. He and Taylor, who pitched a scoreless seventh today, might both need Tuesday off after working the last two days, possibly creating a save chance for Bryan Hudson. Or perhaps the White Sox would risk using Domínguez for a third straight day.

Seranthony Domínguez blew the save on Sunday against the Cubs, giving up three runs — two earned — on one hit and a walk.
Domínguez walked Alex Bregman to begin the inning before striking out Ian Happ. Seiya Suzuki then reached on an error before Michael Conforto connected for a three-run, game-tying jack. Domínguez signed a two-year, $20 million deal with the White Sox this past offseason. That’s closer money, but he simply hasn’t pitched as one of the best relievers in this bullpen. Grant Taylor has the skills to usurp the job if Chicago is willing to move on from his multi-inning role. Domínguez has earned 10 saves so far in 2026, but his 2.4 HR/9 is the sixth-highest among qualified relievers.

Seranthony Domínguez allowed two hits and two runs with one strikeout in a tense ninth inning to earn the save against the Royals on Wednesday.
Domínguez let this one get closer than it had to be. Bobby Witt Jr. socked a two-out, two-run homer to cut the White Sox’s lead to one before Domínguez finally shut the door by striking out Jac Caglianone to end it. He’s still had a solid season overall with 10 saves on 12 chances, but has been susceptible to the home run ball with four across 18.2 innings of work.

Seranthony Domínguez worked a flawless eighth in a tie game Tuesday against the Royals and wound up with his third victory.
Domínguez got the decision after Derek Hill homered in the bottom of the inning, and Bryan Hudson closed things out for his second save. Domínguez remains the White Sox’s primary closer with his nine saves in 11 tries this year.

Seranthony Domínguez allowed two hits and a walk but held on for his ninth save of the year on Sunday.
Domínguez only threw 12-of-23 pitches for strikes. He has the worst strike rate in the team’s bullpen but now has nine of their 12 saves on the season. Grant Taylor still isn’t being used like a closer-in-waiting, so the expectation remains that this is Domínguez’s job to lose.

Seranthony Domínguez got the final two outs Saturday to record a save versus the Padres.
Domínguez entered in a 4-0 game, but since the bases were loaded and the tying run was at the plate, he gets the save by recording the final two outs. He’s now up to eight of them on the season, and the scoreless outing lowers the ERA to 3.95.

Seranthony Domínguez threw a scoreless tenth inning to earn a win in a 3-2 victory over the Angels on Wednesday.
After the White Sox tied the game in the bottom of the ninth, the White Sox brought Domínguez in for the top of the tenth. He struck out Josh Lowe to start the inning before inducing two groundouts to send his team into the bottom of the inning with a chance to win, which they did. Domínguez now has two wins on the season to go along with seven saves and a 4.15 ERA.

Seranthony Domínguez didn’t allow a run in his inning of work to pick up a save versus the Angels on Tuesday.
Domínguez allowed a walk, but didn’t give up a hit and was able to get out of the outing while throwing just 12 pitches. He’s up to seven saves on the season, and he hasn’t allowed a run in five of his last six appearances. This is still one of the worst closing options in the sport, but he’s likely to keep this job until the White sox move him near the deadline.

Seranthony Domínguez struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning to secure the save against the Nationals on Friday.
As there is closer carnage around the league, Domínguez is swimming right along with six saves. Only Mason Miller, David Bednar, Paul Sewald, and Riley O’Brien have more so far. Of course, it hasn’t all been a walk in the park, but Domínguez has converted three consecutive save opportunities and has plenty of job security at this moment.
