Giants acquired RHP Stephen McFarland from the Pirates to complete the Matt Morris trade.
MacFarland, 21, had a 4.80 ERA and a 69/48 K/BB ratio in 65 2/3 innings for low Single-A Hickory. He has a quality fastball, but he’s a long shot to make it to the majors.
