Twins acquired RHP Taylor Rashi from the Diamondbacks for cash.
Rashi is merely a depth addition for Minnesota after being removed from Arizona’s roster last week. The 30-year-old has posted a serviceable 5.40 ERA across 20 innings in the majors over the last two seasons. It’s worth noting that he’s compiled some impressive numbers at the Triple-A level in recent years, but that success hasn’t translated into a permanent role at the highest level.

Diamondbacks designated RHP Taylor Rashi for assignment.
The 30-year-old hurler has struggled in three appearances with the Diamondbacks this season, but holds a terrific 1.03 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and a 26/12 K/BB ratio over 26 1/3 innings at Triple-A Reno in the notoriously hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. It wouldn’t be surprising to see another team come calling on waivers.

Diamondbacks optioned RHP Taylor Rashi to Triple-A Reno.
Rashi loses his spot in Arizona’s bullpen with veteran starter Merrill Kelly (back) coming off the injured list to make his season debut on Tuesday against the Orioles.

Diamondbacks selected the contract of RHP Taylor Rashi from Triple-A Reno.
Before being non-tendered and re-signed to a minor league deal over the winter, Rashi pitched 16 1/3 innings for the Diamondbacks last year as a 29-year-old rookie, amassing a 4.41 ERA. He’ll rejoin the bullpen.
  • AZ Left Fielder #73
Diamondbacks optioned LHPs Mitch Bratt and Kohl Drake, RHPs Juan Burgos and Grant Holman and INF Jose Fernandez to Triple-A Reno; Reassigned RHPs Gerardo Carrillo, Taylor Rashi, Hayden Durke and Junior Fernandez, LHP Spencer Giesting, INFs LuJames Groover, Cristofer Torin and Tommy Troy and OFs A.J. Vukovich and Ryan Waldschmidt to minor league camp.
The most interesting name among this batch of cuts for the Diamondbacks is Ryan Waldschmidt. He had started to gain some steam in fantasy circles as a sleeper candidate, but he was always facing an uphill battle at earning a spot on the Diamondbacks’ Opening Day roster. The 23-year-old hit .240 (6-for-25) with one homer, five RBI and one stolen base during Cactus League play. He should get an opportunity with the Snakes at some point in 2026.

Diamondbacks re-signed RHP Taylor Rashi to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The 29-year-old right-hander debuted with the Diamondbacks in 2025, compiling a 4.41 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and a 22/8 K/BB ratio over 16 1/3 innings in his 10 appearances while notching a pair of saves. He’ll get a chance to fight for a spot in the team’s Opening Day bullpen.

Diamondbacks non-tendered RHP Taylor Rashi and LHP Tommy Henry.
Henry was DFA’d earlier in the week. Rashi, 29, made his major league debut for the Diamondbacks last season, posting a 4.41 ERA and picking up a couple of surprise saves in 16 1/3 innings. Still, that he throws 90 mph and still struggles with his command doesn’t bode well.

Taylor Rashi gave up one run and struck out two over two innings to record the save against the Rangers on Tuesday.
Rashi picked up a save in his last appearance before he was sent to Triple-A. In his first appearance back on Tuesday, he pitched the final two innings to close out the game against the Rangers with a two-run lead. Andrew Saalfrank remains in line to work most save chances, but was held out Tuesday after pitching in two of the last three days.

Diamondbacks recalled RHP Taylor Rashi from Triple-A Reno.
Rashi was up briefly with Arizona last week and wound up getting his first career save by tossing three shutout frames against the Brewers. The unheralded 29-year-old righty figures to operate in middle relief for the Diamondbacks over the final month of the year.

Diamondbacks optioned RHP Taylor Rashi to Triple-A Reno.
The 29-year-old made his major league debut in brilliant fashion on Thursday, striking out three batters over three scoreless innings to earn a save against the Brewers. Unfortunately, he threw 62 pitches in the contest and was going to be unavailable for a few days, so the Diamondbacks swapped him out for a fresh arm. It would be a travesty if he doesn’t get another opportunity with the Diamondbacks in September.
