Trea Turner went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer in the Phillies’ 10-6 defeat of the Pirates on Wednesday.

Turner had a solo homer Monday, a two-run homer Tuesday and now a three-run homer tonight. Perhaps the Phillies should try batting him cleanup on Thursday and see what happens. The homer tonight was his 10th of the year. He’s scored runs in seven straight games and two runs in each of the last three.

Trea Turner had a two-run homer and an RBI double in the Phillies’ 8-0 shutout of the Pirates on Tuesday.

That makes for a fun 33rd birthday. Turner has homered in back-to-back games and scored in six games in a row. Over the last two weeks, he’s hit .345 with 16 runs scored and seven RBI in 13 games.

Trea Turner finished 2-for-5 with a homer in a losing cause Monday versus the Pirates.

Turner led off the bottom of the first with a 424-foot homer off Braxton Ashcraft. It was second farthest he’s hit a ball this year and just the fourth time he’s topped 400 feet. Turner is 11-for-33 with seven runs scored in his last seven games.

The Phillies announced that Trea Turner was removed from Thursday’s game due to a bruised right calf.

Turner sustained the injury when he was plunked by Sean Manaea in the opening inning. It doesn’t sound like anything that should lead to any sort of extended absence, so the 32-year-old shortstop should be considered day-to-day.

Trea Turner was removed from Thursday night’s contest against the Mets after being hit by a pitch in the first inning.

Turner was plunked in the knee by Sean Manaea in the home half of the first inning. He stayed in the game to run the bases and came around to score the Phillies’ first run in the ballgame but was replaced by Edmundo Sosa when the Phillies took the field in the second. He’ll head for additional evaluation and imaging just to make sure there’s no structural damage.

Trea Turner went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored, and a stolen base as the Phillies fell to the Marlins 12-4 on Wednesday.

Turner is batting .223 with a .607 OPS while his performance has only worsened since a subpar April. The 32-year-old has kept his fantasy value afloat with his most aggressive stolen-base attempt rate since 2019. He hasn’t been getting on base at his usual clip, so there’s more roto upside if he turns things around at the plate. Despite his struggles, Turner has hit first or second in every game he has started for the Phillies this season.

Kyle Schwarber is at first base and hitting second on Tuesday against the Marlins.

According to The Athletic’s Matt Gelb, Schwarber is making his first appearance at the cold corner since October 20, 2021. It’ll be Brandon Marsh moving up to the leadoff spot with Trea Turner (wrist) out of the lineup after being hit by a pitch during Monday’s series opener. The 33-year-old slugger’s 24 round-trippers are tied with Astros star Yordan Alvarez for the major-league lead this season.

Trea Turner (wrist) is not in the starting lineup against the Marlins on Tuesday.

With Turner out, Brandon Marsh will hit leadoff, and Edmundo Sosa will play shortstop and hit ninth. Turner is considered day-to-day with a right wrist contusion and already had x-rays return negative, so there’s a good chance he’s back in the lineup in the coming days.

Phillies interim manager Don Mattingly told reporters X-rays on Trea Turner’s right wrist came back negative.

It’s a significant relief for the Phillies that Turner didn’t suffer any fractures based on initial imaging when he was hit by a pitch during Monday’s series opener against the Marlins. The 32-year-old has been struggling at the dish of late, but his absence would’ve created some problems for Philadelphia, especially from a defensive standpoint. He’s presumably day-to-day heading into the final two games of the series against Miami.

Trea Turner was removed from Monday’s s game against the Marlins with a right wrist contusion.

Turner managed to stay in after being hit by a pitch earlier in the contest. He departed in the eighth inning after going 0-for-3. He came into this one hitting just .200 (10-for-50) with two extra-base hits and three steals since June 1. The 32-year-old will presumably head for X-rays to determine whether he suffered any fractures. There should be an update on his status following the game or prior to Tuesday’s showdown.
