Austin Hays (calf strain) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run for Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.
Hays has gone 2-for-10 in his first three games at Triple-A, but both hits have been home runs. The 30-year-old has been sidelined since May 4th with a calf strain after also missing significant time with a hamstring strain. With Sam Antonacci playing well in left field, the White Sox will have a tough choice to make when Hays is ready to return. Likely one of Tristan Peters or Jarred Kelenic will head back to the minors, or the White Sox will choose to designate Randal Grichuk for assignment.

Tristan Peters broke a 4-4 tie with a three-run homer in the eighth to help propel the White Sox to a 9-8 win in 10 innings on Sunday.
Peters’ blast put the White Sox up 7-4 before Michael Conforto launched a three-run blast of his own to tie it for the Cubs in the ninth. White Sox catcher Edgar Quero later hit a walk-off shot in the 10th. The homer for Peters was his first of the year. He’s been starting as the team’s primary center fielder lately, but he doesn’t have the skill set to be a factor in most fantasy formats.

Sam Antonacci is not in the White Sox’ starting lineup for Thursday’s matchup against the Royals.
Like fellow left-handed hitters Colson Montgomery and Tristan Peters, Antonacci will take a seat with left-handed Kris Bubic toeing the slab for the Royals. Randal Grichuk will start in his place in left field and bat cleanup for the White Sox on Thursday evening.

Tristan Peters is starting in right field and batting seventh against the Blue Jays on Friday.
This is now Peters’ sixth straight start. He has switched between right field and center field, but has been a constant in the White Sox lineup. He’s 5-for-15 with one run scored, one steal, and a 6/2 K/BB ratio in those six starts. That’s not much value to bring to your fantasy team unless you’re in a deep, AL-only league.

Tristan Peters hit a solo homer in a win for the White Sox on Sunday over the Brewers.
Peters took Sam Garcia deep in the ninth for his first homer in the White Sox organization. Acquired for a player to be named later in December, Peterss has shown some decent offensive upside in the minors, but the 25-year-old isn’t likely to see regular playing time even on a poor roster like Chicago’s.

White Sox acquired OF Tristan Peters from the Rays for a player to be named or cash consideration.
Peters was designated for assignment on Tuesday. The 25-year-old made his major league debut with the Rays last season, going 0-for-12 with seven strikeouts. He hit .266/.355/.429 with 15 homers and 11 steals in his second season in Triple-A. While his approach is sound, he doesn’t offer enough defense in center or offense in a corner to project as lasting major leaguer. The White Sox, though, will have outfield at-bats available, especially if they trade Luis Robert Jr.

Rays designated OF Tristan Peters for assignment.
Peters loses his spot on Tampa Bay’s 40-man roster with veteran lefty Steven Matz being officially added. The 25-year-old rookie went 0-for-12 with seven strikeouts in four games at the highest level this past season.

Rays optioned OF Tristan Peters to Triple-A Durham.
The move makes room for Bob Seymour on the roster. Peters was sent down on Monday, only to be recalled the next day with Taylor Walls going on the injured list. He’s gone 0-for-12 with seven strikeouts in four major league games.
  • TB 1st Baseman
The Rays are calling up Bob Seymour in advance of Friday’s game, according to the Tampa Bay Times’ Marc Topkin.
The 26-year-old Seymour has been one of the best sluggers in Triple-A this season, hitting .263/.327/.553 with 30 homers and a 114/38 K/BB in 443 plate appearances for Durham. The Rays will likely use him at DH and first base against right-handers until Jonathan Aranda gets back. They have been mixing and matching in the DH spot lately, with Chandler Simpson starting there Wednesday. Tristan Peters could head back to Triple-A. It’s unlikely that Seymour will offer mixed-league value, but AL-only leaguers in need of some power could try him.

Rays recalled OF Tristan Peters from Triple-A Durham.
Durham was just optioned to Triple-A Durham on Monday night, but it’s possible that he never actually made the trip, as the Rays were trying to give Taylor Walls (groin) an extra day to see if he could avoid a stint on the injured list. Now Peters will stick around to provide extra outfield depth.
