Twins acquired RHP Zach Ward from the Reds for RHP Kyle Lohse.
A nice return for a pitcher the Twins have been trying to get rid of for months. Ward, 22, was 7-0 with a 2.29 ERA, 74 H and 95/37 K/BB in 114 IP for low Single-A Dayton. The 2005 third-round pick possesses a quality fastball-slider combination and might develop into a setup man or a fourth starter.
