The roster for the 2026 Motocross of Nations Team USA roster was announced on Press Day for the Pro Motocross finale at Ironman Raceway, featuring Chance Hymas in the MXGP class, Levi Kitchen in MX2, and the veteran Cooper Webb in the Open class.
“They’re going to do a great job,” said Mike Pelletier, Director of Racing. “I think these three bleed red, white and blue, to be honest with you. And they’ve been pounding on the door for a long time. They’ve been riding great this season. It’s time to show them what the world knows again in France.”
Hymas will lead the charge in the premiere class.
Hymas was selected for the 2024 roster of Team USA, announced as the MX2 rider for that year’s contest in England. He suffered an ACL injury during the first round of SuperMotocross that season and was unable to attend. Notably, Webb was his replacement.
“I’ve been on Mike’s door for a long time wanting to do this,” Hymas said. “It’s been a dream since I was a little kid, but very thankful to be going across the call with these guys. I think we have a really good team, honestly, and I’m excited for the challenge. Never been overseas. Definitely a lot of new culture shocks coming up.”
Kitchen will battle for the 250 championship at Ironman. He enters with a 14-point deficit to Cole Davies.
“The experience should be fun,” Kitchen said. “I’ll try to treat it like another race. I know it’s going to be a crazy experience. A lot of things are different, but I’m really looking forward to it and just excited to see all the other racers from different places and get to race.”
This will be Webb’s fourth appearance in the MXoN. His first race came in 2015 in Ernée, France, where the 2026 competition will be held. He finished second and sixth in his two races that season, finished 4-10 the following year in Maggiora, Italy, and 17-9 as the replacement rider in 2024.
“I’ve been there; we’ve done it,” Webb said. “We’ve been on the [overall] podium every time I’ve been involved. So hopefully I can continue to have that leadership for these two.”
