Eli Tomac set to return to Pro Motocross at Spring Creek

Eli Tomac will return to racing this week for Round 7 of the Pro Motocross season, Round 23 of the SuperMotocross Championship at Spring Creek MX Park in Millville, Minnesota.

“Eli Tomac will be back in action this weekend,” the team announced on social media. “The four-time 450MX Champion is returning for the Spring Creek National aboard his KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition.”

Tomac crashed with Garrett Marchbanks early in the first moto of the season-opener at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, and failed to earn any points in that round. He had a large enough cushion over 21st in combined SMX League points to ensure he would be guaranteed an entry into the three Playoff races.

Tomac missed multiple rounds in the Monster Energy Supercross series, but he was one of Ken Roczen and Hunter Lawrence’s top challenger for most of the season. He ultimately slipped to fourth in that championship battle.

Tomac is currently ninth in the SuperMotocross standings with a 141-advantage over 21st-place Colt Nichols.

The four-time 450 Motocross championship struggled at Spring Creek last year, finishing seventh overall on the strength of moto results of sixth and ninth.
