The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship heads to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with the LMP2 category as the headliner of the Chevrolet Grand Prix.
Of the 10 entries, five will feature lineups with Canadian drivers who will qualify and start Sunday’s two-hour and 40-minute race on the road course in Bowmanville, Ontario — Phil Fayer (No. 2 United Autosports USA), John Farano (No. 8 Tower Motorsports), Tobi Lutke (No. 11 TDS Racing), Misha Goikhberg (No. 52 Bryan Herta Autosport with PR1/Mathiasen) and Chris Cumming (No. 73 Pratt Miller Motorsports). In GTD Pro, Canadian-based Pfaff Motorsports will be racing its No. 9 Lamborghini Temerario GT3, and Orey Fidani, Roman De Angelis and Robert Wickens are among the Canadian drivers in the GT categories.
This is the third consecutive season that LMP2 will be the top category in the CTMP event.

- Distance: A two-hour, 40-minute race on the 10-turn, 2.459-mile road course in Bowmanville, Ontario.
- Forecast: According to Weather Underground, it’s expected to be 77 degrees with a 2% chance of rain at the green flag.

Drivers and teams to watch at IMSA CTMP
- Robert Wickens, who finished fourth last year at his home track, will make his first start since Long Beach in the No. 36 DXDT RacingCorvette Z06 GT3.R.
- Ben Hanley (No. 22 United ORECA), Ricky Taylor (No. 52 BHA w/PR1 Mathiasen ORECA) and Roman De Angelis (No. 27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin) will fill in for drivers absent from other teams.
- Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello in the No. 27 Aston Martin holds a 157-point lead in GTD.
