Jo Shimoda out of Southwick with fractured collarbone, concussion

The 250 divisional points leader Jo Shimoda will not line up for the first moto on Round 23 of the SuperMotocross World Championship at The Wick 338 in Southwick, Massachusetts, after fracturing his collarbone and suffering a mild concussion, according to the Honda HRC team.

This was the third time in his career that Shimoda has had a collarbone injury.

Shimoda crashed during the second qualification session and required assistance on track. He remounted, rode a couple of cautious laps, and then headed back to the hauler.

Shimoda secured the 250 Pro Motocross red plate last week with a third-place result in the first moto and a victory in Moto 2 and entered Southwick with a narrow four-point margin over Cole Davies.
