Two titles have been awarded and now the Monster Energy Supercross champion, Ken Roczen, and the Pro Motocross champion, Hunter Lawrence, will square off for the opening round of the SMX Playoffs, Round 29 of the 2026 SuperMotocross World Championship, Saturday September 12, at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, at 3 p.m. ET on Peacock.tv.
Race Day Live will cover qualification, beginning at 9 a.m. ET on Peacock on Saturday.
Hunter finally got the monkey off his back with his Motocross championship, erasing the memory of his near-miss in Supercross earlier in the year. He enters Columbus as a different rider altogether from what we have seen in previous seasons.
Roczen may be a little rusty after skipping the outdoor season, but the tight confines of a soccer stadium will allow him to do what he does best. Historic Crew Stadium will be highly technical.
Cole Davies has an opportunity to do what no one has yet in the four-year history of the SuperMotocross playoffs: win three titles in one year. He can sweep the championships by earning the 250 East Supercross title, the Pro Motocross title, and has his sights set on SuperMotocross.
