Max Anstie and Monster Energy / Yamaha Star Racing have decided to part ways, the team announced on social media.
“Max wanted to race WSX [World Supercross Championship], so we came to the mutual decision to part ways, allowing him to pursue that and leave on good terms. We’d like to thank Max for his dedication and efforts and wish him the best in his future,” Wil Hahn, Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing 250 Team General Manager, said.
Anstie is the defending SX2 (250) divisional champion of that series. Anstie has competed with Star Racing since 2024.
Anstie has been sidelined since suffering an injury in qualification for Round 1 of Pro Motocross at Fox Raceway in Pala, California.
He ended the Monster Energy Supercross season third in the 250 West standings, but has fallen to 11th overall in combined SuperMotocross League points after failing to score any points in the outdoor series.
“I’m proud of everything that I achieved with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing.” Anstie said. “It was a dream of mine to ride for the team. We shared a lot of success and I’d like to thank them for all the hard work and great memories over the last two years. I’m excited for my next chapter and what the future holds.”
