ANAHEIM, California: Levi Kitchen and Haiden Deegan swapped the top position several times during the second qualification session, but it was Deegan who finally landed on top with a lap of 1:00.591 to Kitchen’s 1:00.817, which was a much tighter margin than in the first session.
Max Anstie (1:00.884) hovered outside the top 10 for most of Qualification 2, but found a burst of speed in the final minutes and landed third on the chart.
Ryde DiFrancesco (1:01.160) overcame his trip to the dirt in Q1 to post the fourth-fastest time in this session.
Hunter Yoder (1:01.607) rounded out the top five.

Haiden Deegan blisters the track with a time of 1:02.745, which is more than one second faster than Levi Kitchen (1:03.962) in second.
Chance Hymas posted the third fastest time of 1:04.396.
Fourth-place Maximus Vohland (1:04.486) and Michael Mosiman (1:04.646) rounded out the top five.
Max Anstie (1:05.474) was well down the order in 10th.
Ryder DiFrancesco and Dilan Schwartz tangled halfway through the Group A session, but both remounted.
Nico Koch (1:42.073) was the fastest rider from Group B in the first qualification session.
Haiden Deegan set the fastest time in qualification last week in San Diego on his way to winning Round 2 of the 250 West SuperMotocross World Championship.
