DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Kyle Busch went 197.265 mph Friday, posting the fastest lap in the day’s second practice for the NASCAR Cup Series.
Toyotas took the top six spots in a session that saw 28 of 40 starters get on track.
Busch was followed by Matt Kenseth (197.256 mph), Denny Hamlin (197.109), rookie Erik Jones (197.053), rookie Daniel Suarez (197.036) and Martin Truex Jr. (197.006).
There were no incidents during the 55-minute session at Daytona International Speedway.
Teams have only a practice Saturday before Sunday’s Daytona 500.
