The real estate company selling Michael Waltrip Racing’s shop lists the price for the facility at $15 million, according to its website.
The Cornelius, North Carolina, race shop features two buildings with more than 142,000 square feet of space. The former movie theatre was converted into a race shop in 2007 and had been MWR’s home since. Information from Lincoln Harris, a full-service real estate company based in Charlotte, North Carolina, notes that the race shop is estimated to be vacated by April 1.
The Mecklenburg County Assessor’s office lists the shop’s value as $12,807,200 - an assessment last done in 2011. Public records earlier this month showed that the property taxes had not been paid, but that has been updated and the $137,909.73 bill has been paid.
