Bobby Portis accounted for 11 points (5-of-12 FGs), 12 rebounds, three assists and one three-pointer in Friday’s win over the Lakers.
Portis has now recorded six double-doubles this season, with all having been recorded since December 14. Over the past month, the Bucks’ forward has offered top-75 per-game value in eight-cat formats. By comparison, Myles Turner (eight points, six rebounds and two three-pointers) has not been a top-150 player during this period. The combination of Portis’ production and the underwhelming return offered by Turner makes the former worth the risk in some 12-team leagues.
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Kings.
The Bucks are still managing Antetokounmpo’s workload due to the right calf injury he sustained last month, but the probable tag suggests he will be available. If Giannis can’t play, Bobby Portis would be back in the starting lineup, raising his fantasy ceiling.

Bobby Portis had 25 points (8-of-12 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), two rebounds, one assist and five three-pointers in the win over the Hornets on Monday.
Portis came off the bench again with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Ryan Rollins in the starting lineup. The 30-year-old power forward was very efficient in his 23 minutes, dropping 25 points on 12 shots and making five three-pointers. Portis remains one of the more reliable bench players in the league and he showed it again in the win over the Hornets Monday.
  • Kevin Porter Jr., Ryan Rollins, AJ Green, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Myles Turner will start Saturday’s game against the Bulls.
Giannis is back in the Bucks’ lineup after missing more than three weeks with a strained calf. His return prompts two changes to the starting lineup. Rollins has returned to the starting five to provide more shooting/playmaking off of Giannis, while Bobby Portis and Kyle Kuzma head to the bench.

Bobby Portis finished Friday’s loss to the Grizzlies with 15 points (7-of-14 FGs), 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one three-pointer.
Portis utilized efficient shooting and tied a season-high in rebounds before earning his fourth double-double in the past six games. He was one of five Milwaukee players to score at least 15 points, and one of three Bucks to collect multiple steals. The veteran forward has now stepped into a starting role under head coach Doc Rivers, and with the role and minutes where they are currently, fantasy managers should expect Portis to remain productive moving forward.

Bobby Portis tallied 16 points (7-of-17 FGs), 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal and two three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Timberwolves.
After a stellar performance in Thursday’s loss to the Raptors, Portis was inserted into the starting lineup for the first time since November 22. The veteran forward answered with his second straight double-double and third in four appearances. Jericho Sims, who was moved back to the bench to make room for Portis, played 19 minutes and finished with nine points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal. As long as he’s starting in place of the injured Giannis Antetokounmpo, Portis should be rostered in 12-team leagues.

Kevin Porter Jr., AJ Green, Kyle Kuzma, Bobby Portis and Myles Turner will start Sunday’s game against the Timberwolves.
The Bucks have made two changes to their starting lineup. With Gary Trent Jr. and Jericho Sims both struggling in Thursday’s loss to the Raptors, they’ve been moved to the bench. Kuzma and Portis move into the starting lineup, raising the fantasy ceilings of both players.

Bobby Portis amassed 24 points (9-of-16 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), 12 rebounds, two steals, one block and three three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Raptors.
Despite the Raptors not employing a legitimate center in their starting lineup with Jakob Poeltl out, the Bucks still started Jericho Sims alongside Myles Turner. It was inevitable that Portis would be asked to do more, and he was up to the task. The “Mayor of Milwaukee” recorded his second double-double in three games and replaced Sims (six points, seven rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes) in the lineup to begin the third quarter. As long as Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) is out, Portis is worth rostering.

Bobby Portis had 27 points (11-of-13 FGs), 10 rebounds, one steal and five three-pointers against the Celtics on Thursday.
Portis is averaging 11.2 points per game this year, but with Giannis Antetokounmpo out of the lineup he’s put up at least 22 points in two of his last three games. The 30-year-old power forward was very efficient with 27 points on 13 attempts and five made three-pointers. He’s still in a reserve scoring role, but with Giannis sidelined there’s more of a runway for Portis to hit his ceiling.
  • MIL Forward #9
Bobby Portis notched 22 points (9-of-16 FGs), four rebounds, one steal and four three-pointers in the loss to the Sixers on Friday.
Portis was one of Milwaukee’s most productive players on Friday. In 23 minutes, he led the team in scoring and made three-pointers, and was one of five Bucks players to score in double figures. The veteran forward didn’t make many contributions elsewhere, however — he didn’t record an assist, had minimal impact on the glass, and finished with one stock on the defensive end. Portis has had one of his least productive seasons in quite some time, from a statistical standpoint, but with the Bucks down Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf), he should have opportunities to pick up his production.
