    Caron Butler will be an assistant coach on Erik Spoelstra’s staff for the 2020-21 season.
    The two-time All-Star was drafted by the Heat back in 2002, so now it all comes full circle as he begins the post-playing career on the bench in Miami. “You talk about who we are and what we are and what we embody, Butler is somebody who brought me up under his wing,” said Udonis Haslem, who is set to return to Miami for his 18th season. “They talk about OGs, Butler, it sounds crazy because of how young he is but he was my OG. When I came into this organization... he was somebody who showed me what it was to be a professional.”
