Johnson has a bit of athleticism but fell victim to the trade deadline today. He has an outside shot of being picked up or returning to the D-League.

The LSU product will give the Hornets frontline depth with Emeka Okafor’s (knee) return up in the air. He is not a fantasy option in any league.

Johnson was claimed off waivers on Tuesday. “I just learned the little things today,” he said. “I look to bring energy, block shots and rebound, pretty much what I did at LSU.”

Johnson just sustained his concussion on Sunday and the Hornets will be in no hurry to bring him back.

Hopefully it’s not serious, but we all know the drill at this point -- Johnson will need to pass league-mandated tests before he’s allowed to return. With Chris Kaman back in action, his absence doesn’t have a big impact in fantasy leagues.

Johnson played heavy minutes by default with Chris Kaman, Carl Landry and Gustavo Ayon all sidelined, and we’ll need to see a few more solid games before buying into him as a reliable option.

Johnson is hoping to return to the court next week, but it sounds like he has a long way to go.

Johnson played four minutes and is buried in the Blazers rotation. He has no fantasy value.

Johnson has been recovering from concussion symptoms, and his release was necessary to create space for Darryl Watkins on the roster.

Johnson actually played in several games for Boston last year and with the recent news that Chris Wilcox and Jermaine O’Neal are being shut down for the year it makes some sense. Even if he did make his return to Boston, Johnson belongs on waiver wires.
