Lynn Greer is one of three members of the 2006-07 Bucks who will play for their Summer League team.
David Noel and Damir Markota are also on the squad, which leaves for Las Vegas Tuesday. Ramon Sessions, the 56th overall pick, will also play on the team. The Bucks’ first-round pick, Yi Jianlian, will also be there, but he’ll be playing for the Chinese national team, who are not scheduled to play the Bucks’ team. Others on the team include: Randy Livingston, Chris McCray and Awvee Storey.

The Bucks waived backup point guard Lynn Greer on Monday.
Greer was let go due to a crowded backcourt in Milwaukee, which signed guard Mo Williams to a contract extension this summer and matched an offer sheet on guard Charlie Bell last week.

Point guard Lynn Greer was able to obtain a release from Milwaukee Bucks in order to sign a much more substantial deal to play with Greek powerhouse Olympiacos.
The package to play in Greece is reportedly worth about $7 million. “I went to Milwaukee to begin training last Wednesday,” Greer said. “I was there 3 days and this came up. I’m excited first and foremost about the deal, but I also have mixed emotions because I worked so hard to get to the NBA. I decided I had to take basketball out of it and look at it as a job opportunity.”

The Milwaukee Bucks signed former Temple point guard Lynn Greer to a two-year contract Tuesday.
The 26-year-old Greer has played in Europe for the past four seasons, averaging 22.6 points, 3.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds for Carpisa Napoli of the Italian League last season. He’ll be the third-string point guard for the Bucks, but shouldn’t have any fantasy value playing behind Mo Williams and Charlie Bell.

Lynn Greer came off Milwaukee’s bench with 19 points in Tuesday’s game against the Hornets.
The guard shot 8-for-12 from the field, hit three 3-pointers and added four assists tonight. Mo Williams struggled mightily tonight, so the rookie got some rare burn. He entered averaging just 2.8 PPG in his first season.

Lynn Greer scored the first points of his NBA career on a 19-foot jumper with 1:37 left in Friday’s game against Philadelphia.
The backup played 7 minutes in relief of newly acquired Earl Boykins, while Julius Hodge made his Bucks debut and had two points in two minutes. Even with Milwaukee’s barrage of injuries, don’t expect any fantasy value from Greer.

Earl Boykins will not have surgery to repair the torn ligaments in his right thumb, but will miss at least the next three weeks with the injury.
He hopes to play again this season, but should be dropped in fantasy leauges. Rookie Lynn Greer will absorb his minutes.
