Tskitishvili

Tskitishvili has been out with a strained right hamstring.

A strained hamstring has turned into a cyst behind the knee, which has now burst. “It’s bad,” he said. “I don’t want to do anything until it feels better.”

Doctors will determine today whether he should go on the injured list. It’s a good bet to happen. Joining him there could be DerMarr Johnson and either Arthur Johnson or Mark Pope.

White and Tskita were both lottery picks once upon a time -- White the No. 9 selection in 2001, and Tskitishvili the No. 5 pick in 2002. The Warriors lose very little by taking a look at the two players who were never given much of a chance in Denver. No fantasy value, though.

Anthony likely will start at small forward for the Nuggets, leaving Nikoloz Tskitishvili’s future in doubt. Anthony’s arrival should make remaining in Denver a more appealing possibility for Juwan Howard, but the veteran forward is still likely to go to a contender.

Tskitishvili will open the regular season playing with a splint.

Trainer Jim Gillen said he should have a better determination today of how long Tskitishvili would be out. ''I don’t look for it to be real long,’' Gillen said.

''We’re just taking it day by day with (the injury),’' coach Jeff Bzdelik said. ''He was just a little too sore to put him in there.’'

Tskitishvili will open the season on the active roster.

Tskitishvili left the arena wearing an ice pack and said he wasn’t sure if he would be able to play Tuesday at Indiana.
