Tyler Herro tallied 23 points (7-of-18 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), three rebounds, six assists and three three-pointers in the loss to the Hornets on Tuesday.
Herro struggled with his shot on Tuesday during his 34 minutes on the floor. Specifically, his inability to finish efficiently inside the three-point line led to the low field-goal percentage. Yet, he sank three triples and produced at the free-throw line to end as one of Miami’s three players with at least 20 points on the night. Herro also turned out a solid outing as a facilitator in the team’s season-ending loss. He battled injuries throughout the season and only logged 33 regular-season games, leaving him with little fantasy basketball value in his seventh NBA season.

Simone Fontecchio (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game against the Hawks.
Fontecchio will not play on Sunday after being considered probable on the initial report released on Saturday. Tyler Herro is available and was going to reclaim his spot in the starting lineup, regardless of Fontecchio’s status.

Simone Fontecchio (ankle) has been downgraded to questionable for Sunday’s game against the Hawks.
Initially probable for Sunday’s game, Fontecchio is trending in the wrong direction on availability. Tyler Herro will be available after sitting out Friday’s win over the Wizards; he’ll regain his spot in the starting lineup regardless of what happens with Fontecchio.

Tyler Herro (foot) and Davion Mitchell (shoulder) are available for Sunday’s game against the Hawks.
Herro and Mitchell are available for Sunday’s regular-season finale after not playing in Friday’s win over the Wizards. Their returns will push Simone Fontecchio and Kasparas Jakučionis to the bench, with the former offering a higher ceiling when used in a reserve role. A win over the Hawks, combined with a Hornets loss to the Knicks, would move Miami into the No. 9 seed. They would host the 9 vs. 10 game on Wednesday night.

Tyler Herro (foot) and Norman Powell (groin) are questionable for Friday’s matchup with the Wizards.
Herro is dealing with right foot soreness, and Powell is dealing with right groin soreness, so there is a chance that both players sit out against Washington. With Miami locked into the No. 10 seed, there is no reason for the team to play its stars if they are banged up. Pelle Larsson and Jaime Jaquez Jr. should see more run if Herro and Powell have to sit out.

Tyler Herro finished Thursday’s loss to the Raptors with 15 points (6-of-12 FGs), four rebounds, four assists and three three-pointers.
While Herro finished Thursday’s defeat with a solid field-goal percentage, the Heat need more production from him than what they received in their two games in Toronto. He totaled 29 points and four three-pointers in the two defeats, which isn’t going to cut it when considering the Heat roster. Herro’s name was one mentioned in the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors in the winter, and it’s fair to wonder if Miami’s front office will intensify its pursuit of the “Greek Freak” this offseason. And with the Heat once again in the Play-In Tournament, significant changes may be needed.

Tyler Herro recorded 14 points (5-of-8 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, six assists and one three-pointer in Tuesday’s loss to the Raptors.
Herro shot the ball well and provided solid value in rebounds and assists, but the impact was muted in Miami’s 121-95 defeat. With Bam Adebayo (7/9/3/1 with one three-pointer) shooting 2-of-13 from the field, the Heat could have done with more Herro on the offensive end of the floor. Now trailing Toronto by three games and Philadelphia and Orlando by two in the loss column, the Heat have little margin for error if they’re to avoid the Play-In Tournament.

Tyler Herro (foot) is available for Tuesday’s game against the Raptors.
Herro was initially listed as probable with a foot injury, so his availability isn’t much of a surprise. The 26-year-old point guard was scratched before Saturday’s game against the Wizards for personal reasons, which led to Simone Fontecchio getting a start. Fontecchio will return to the bench with Herro back in the starting lineup on Tuesday.

Tyler Herro (foot) is probable for Tuesday’s game against the Raptors.
Scratched from the lineup for Saturday’s win over the Wizards for personal reasons, Herro is on track to play Tuesday night. His return would push Simone Fontecchio to the bench.

Tyler Herro (personal) is out for Saturday’s game against the Wizards.
Not long after he was announced as a starter, Herro was ruled out for personal reasons. Simone Fontecchio will start, joining Davion Mitchell, Pelle Larsson, Andrew Wiggins and Bam Adebayo.
