Brandon Gibson caught four passes for 52 yards in Week 2 against the Giants.
Gibson ran opposite Mike Sims-Walker and was targeted eight times on the night by Sam Bradford. With Danny Amendola sidelined Gibson will be a sure bet for five plus targets, but there’s not a ton of upside here. Mike Sims-Walker and Danario Alexander both have more talent than Gibson.

Brandon Gibson came out of Sunday’s loss with a quad issue and is listed as day to day.
It’s likely just a minor thigh bruise, but a player of Gibson’s meager skill level can’t afford any leg injuries. Despite starting six games this year, he’s averaging just 42.1 yards per game and has one touchdown.

Brandon Gibson (groin) missed Rams practice on Wednesday.
Despite starting the Rams’ last three games, Gibson hasn’t made much of a dent in the box score. St. Louis won’t miss him much if he doesn’t play Sunday.

Rams WR Brandon Gibson caught five passes for 54 yards in the team’s Week 9 loss to Arizona.
Gibson caught a 22-yard pass, but otherwise was held in check after the catch and caught mostly dump-downs from Sam Bradford. Now halfway through his third season in the NFL, it’s become pretty clear that Gibson struggles to create separation. He’ll only be a starter until Danario Alexander gets healthy.
  • NE Wide Receiver #13
Brandon Gibson caught two passes for 27 yards in Sunday’s win.
Starting in place of an injured Danario Alexander, Gibson was nearly invisible one week after being a healthy scratch. He’s waiver-wire fodder.

Updating a previous item, Brandon Gibson (groin) will likely be the Rams’ starting receiver opposite Brandon Lloyd in Week 11 against the Seahawks after practicing on Thursday and Friday.
Gibson is listed as probable to play on Sunday. Mark Clayton will likely be the fourth receiver behind the two Brandons and rookie slot receiver Austin Pettis. Gibson is an outside wideout, but has struggled to separate and is catching most of his passes on dump-offs. He’s not a fantasy option. Clayton still needs a bigger role to be fantasy-worthy.

Brandon Gibson caught four passes for 42 yards in Sunday’s blowout loss to the 49ers.
Expected to be de-emphasized with Danario Alexander back in the lineup, Gibson instead tied Austin Pettis for the team-lead with seven targets. Good news for Gibson’s friends and family, but an effort that’s unlikely to be repeated in the season’s final four weeks. Averaging 3.1 catches for 36.7 yards, Gibson has been one of the more unproductive receivers in the league considering the amount of snaps he’s played.

Brandon Gibson caught one pass for six yards in St. Louis’ Week 14 loss to the Seahawks.
With Danario Alexander finally appearing back to full health, Gibson was on the field for only a handful of plays, drawing just one target. A poor route runner who rarely tacks on yards after the catch, Gibson isn’t likely to be back with the Rams in 2012.

Brandon Gibson was held to one catch for 21 yards in St. Louis’ Week 17 loss to the 49ers.
The catch was Gibson’s first since Week 14. Benched in Week 7, Gibson was given a second chance after Danario Alexander suffered a multi-week hamstring injury, but failed to make the most of it, totaling just 19 catches for 217 yards in his final nine games. Stone-handed and lackluster after-the-catch, Gibson will be facing an uphill battle to earn a roster spot in 2012.
  • NE Wide Receiver #13
Brandon Gibson caught four passes for 37 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks.
Both totals surpassed Gibson’s season averages entering Week 11. With Mark Clayton rounding back to full health and Danario Alexander likely to return in Week 12, Gibson is far off the fantasy radar.
