Chiefs QB Chris Oladokun completed 11-of-17 passes for 58 yards in Kansas City’s Week 18 game against the Raiders.
Oladokun was lost throughout the first half, even in a clean pocket. He was sacked three times against a Raiders defense that ranks among the league’s worst against the pass and didn’t even have Maxx Crosby. Oladokun will revert to practice squad status for 2025 if he remains in Kansas City.

Chris Oladokun completed 13-of-22 passes for 66 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs’ 20-13, Week 17 loss to the Broncos.
Oladokun added 11 yards on two carries. The third-string quarterback was under constant pressure from the Broncos’ vaunted pass-rush. The fact that he took just one sack is wildly impressive, even if he came close to taking several more. Andy Reid doesn’t want Oladokun throwing often and he isn’t taking many downfield looks. To no one’s surprise, this has tanked the Chiefs’ offense. Oladokun will not be on the fantasy radar for Week 18. His presence under center makes the Chiefs a no-man’s land for fantasy purposes.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Gardner Minshew did not suffer a torn ACL in Week 16’s loss to the Titans.
Minshew is still dealing with a knee injury, but the veteran quarterback avoided the worst in Sunday’s loss. Minshew threw for just 15 yards on eight pass attempts against the Titans and will miss Sunday’s game against the Broncos. The Chiefs have already signed QB Shane Buechele off the Bills’ practice squad. He will presumably serve as the team’s QB2 behind Chris Oladokun on Thursday.

Chris Oladokun completed 11-of-16 passes for 111 yards in the Chiefs’ 26-9, Week 16 loss to the Titans, adding two rushes for seven yards.
You are forgiven if you don’t know who this is. The Chiefs’ No. 3 quarterback, Oladokun was forced into action after Gardner Minshew joined Patrick Mahomes on the shelf with a knee injury. Like Mahomes, Minshew is also feared to have torn his ACL. Unlike Mahomes, Minshew confusingly tried to play through the issue for more than a quarter before finally admitting defeat. Injured on the opening series, he departed the following quarter. Playing without Rashee Rice, Oladokun lost 44 yards on four sacks, giving him a passing net of 67 yards. Don’t expect things to get much better in Week 17 against the Broncos, though Oladokun will at least know he’s playing this time. The major problem is, it’s a short-week Thursday night date with the Broncos’ elite defense. Avoid all Chiefs for the fantasy finals.

Gardner Minshew was forced from Kansas City’s Week 16 game against the Titans with a knee injury.
Minshew is technically questionable, but he departed midway through the second quarter after getting rolled up on the opening series. He had been limping around ever since, and it seems like he can no longer give it a go. 2022 seventh-rounder Chris Oladokun is now in the game at quarterback. An already dismal Week 16 Chiefs outlook is now even more so. Minshew had generated just 15 yards on eight attempts before departing.
  • FA Running Back
    Chiefs waived RB Deneric Prince.
Prince ran and jumped his way into the hearts of fantasy managers earlier this offseason, only to fade away in camp/the preseason. The former Tulsa running back faced an uphill battle to crack a running back room that features Isiah Pacheco, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Jerick McKinnon and is now on the outside looking in. There’s a chance Prince clears waivers and ends up back on the Chiefs’ practice squad in the coming days. In addition to Prince, the Chiefs also released/waived DE Joshua Kaindoh, DT Phil Hoskins, S Deon Bush, DT Danny Shelton, CB Reese Taylor, CB Ekow Boye-Doe, LB Cole Christiansen, S Anthony Cook, QB Shane Buechele, QB Chris Oladokun, OL Sebastian Gutierrez, DT Daniel Wise, CB Kahlef Hailassie, RB La’Michal Perine, C Austin Reiter, and TE Kendall Blanton.

Steelers selected South Dakota State QB Chris Oladokun with the No. 241 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Oladokun finished senior season at South Dakota State with 1,390 passes and 15 touchdowns against three interceptions in nine games after starting his collegiate career at South Florida. Oladokun is a mobile QB, rushing for nearly 500 yards in 2019. He’ll be a long shot to crack the Pittsburgh roster in 2022.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, South Dakota State QB Chris Oladokun has had multiple top-30 visits.
South Dakota State has become a must-watch program the last few years in regards to draft prospects. They have a couple in this year’s class including Oladoku (6'2/195). After the top-seven quarterbacks, there are a lot of contenders to be the next one off the board. Pelissero also reported that Oladokun has had workouts with three teams and virtual visits with three others including the Houston Texans. Teams want a closer look at the former South Florida quarterback.

Former Samford senior QB Chris Oladokun transferred to South Dakota State.
Oladokun (6'2/195) began his college career in his hometown, spending two seasons at USF before transferring to Samford ahead of the 2019 season. In 2019 he started eight of the 12 games that he appeared in for the Bulldogs, completing 169-of-272 passes for 2,058 yards and 18 touchdowns with seven interceptions. Oladokun was also impactful on the ground that season, rushing for 491 yards and another eight scores on 127 carries. During the 2021 spring season Oladokun appeared in each of Samford’s seven games, backing up Liam Welch, and he threw for 221 yards and a touchdown while being picked off twice. Oladokun will have one season of eligibility remaining at South Dakota State.

South Florida redshirt junior QB Chris Oladokun transferred to Samford.
Oladokun (6'2/197) saw scant playing time during his career at South Florida, with his final spot of action coming in a (brief) starting call in the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl last month. He only attempted five passes in that contest vs. Marshall prior to being benched. As he is dropping out of the FBS with this Samford transfer, Oladokun will be eligible to play immediately in the fall.
