  • NYJ Wide Receiver #17
Garrett Wilson caught 2-of-5 targets for 34 yards in the Jets’ Week 18 win over the Patriots.
It was a disappointing individual effort on a snowy afternoon in Foxborough, but Wilson entered the week only needing to avoid losing yardage to finish as the first Jets wideout with at least 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first two seasons. It’s a testament to an elite young player considering his quarterback play somehow downgraded on 2022’s already-awful performance. Capable both of compiling underneath and ripping big plays deep, Wilson continues to look like everything a team would want in a young receiver. Now he just has to hope 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers’ lower body holds up next season.

Garrett Wilson caught 5-of-10 targets for 50 yards in the Jets’ Week 17 loss to the Browns.
Wilson led the team in targets. As usual, he appeared frustrated by a lack of quality targets, this time from Trevor Siemian, who spent most of the night checking down to Breece Hall and the team’s tight ends. On the plus side: Wilson now has 25 targets in Siemian’s two starts for New York. It could be worse. Wilson gets the New England defense in Week 18.

Garrett Wilson caught 9-of-15 targets for 76 yards in the Jets’ Week 16 win over the Commanders.
Wilson’s ability with the ball in his hands after the catch came up big today as he broke tackles and shook defenders all game. He didn’t get many opportunities downfield, but was effective in moving the chains. It was a nice game for Wilson against weak Commanders’ defense, but next week against the Browns should be a little tougher.

Garrett Wilson caught 3-of-4 targets for 29 yards in the Jets’ Week 15 loss to the Dolphins.
It was a stink bomb performance for the entire Jets offense both before and after Zach Wilson suffered a concussion in the dying moments of the first half. Garrett had yet to even be targeted before Zach departed. A bitter disappointment after Zach helped revive his No. 1 wideout in his Week 14 return. Now the quarterback is highly questionable for Week 16 against the Commanders, making Garrett a shaky WR2 option in an admittedly amazing matchup.

Garrett Wilson caught 9-of-14 targets for 108 yards in the Jets’ Week 14 win over the Texans, adding a three-yard carry.
Fantasy managers got what they hoped for in Zach Wilson’s return under center, with the embattled starter locking onto his No. 1 wideout and producing just his second 100-yard outing of the season. One of Wilson’s missed connections was an overthrown end zone look. That was frustrating, but we know Zach will never stop targeting Garrett. They do have an unappealing Week 15 matchup with Jalen Ramsey’s Dolphins.

Garrett Wilson caught 3-of-7 targets for 50 yards in the Jets’ Week 13 loss to the Falcons.
Tim Boyle had Wilson open on deep and intermediate throws on a number of plays where he didn’t even pull the trigger. When he did, the throw was rarely on target. Boyle’s play was so bad that it eventually got him benched for Trevor Siemian, though it was too little too late for Wilson. With the Jets’ offense reaching a new low every week, it will be hard to trust Wilson as a fantasy option going forward. He will rank as a low-end WR3 for the Jets’ Week 14 game against the Texans.

Garrett Wilson caught 7-of-10 targets for 44 yards and one touchdown in the Jets’ Week 12 loss to the Dolphins.
Fantasy managers who faded Wilson will regret doing so when looking at his fantasy point total, but the process remained correct. Of the 10 targets he saw from Tim Boyle, the longest play could only muster 11 yards. Wilson found the end zone late in the fourth quarter for a one-yard score in the back of the end zone and had eight more targets than any other Jets receiver. The 26 percent target share Wilson saw was encouraging, but he’ll be hard to trust as anything more than a WR3 until the Jets see improved quarterback play. Wilson will be a volume-based WR3 in Week 13 against the Falcons.

Garrett Wilson (elbow) was upgraded to “full” in Wednesday’s practice.
Wilson was limited on Tuesday but is good to go for his matchup with the Dolphins this week. He was listed as questionable because of the elbow issue last week but played through it. The bigger hurdle for Wilson in Week 12 will be Tom Boyle taking over under center. Zach Wilson has been one of the worst quarterbacks in the league this year, but Boyle will give him a run for his money. Wilson will sit on the WR2/3 border for Week 12.

Garrett Wilson caught 2-of-8 targets for nine yards in the Jets’ Week 11 loss to the Bills.
This was Wilson’s worst outing of the season, and it wasn’t particularly close. Zach Wilson failed to complete a pass to any of his receivers through nearly three quarters, while Tim Boyle stepped in during the third quarter to connect with Wilson twice. Wilson’s second reception, a five-yard gain, was ruined by a lost fumble, as everything went wrong for the jets all afternoon. Head coach Robert Saleh isn’t sure who will start at quarterback for his team in Week 12, but Wilson will hope whoever is under center continues to feed him at the rate Zach Wilson did this year. Wilson’s 33-percent target share heading into Week 11 was tied with Tyreek Hill for tops in the league amongst receivers.

Garrett Wilson (elbow) is active for Week 11 against the Bills.
Wilson said on Friday that he expects to play, and is officially active. The second-year receiver is tied with Tyreek Hill for a league-high 33 percent target share this season, and has been Zach Wilson’s go-to guy all season. He’ll be on the WR2 radar against the Bills. While Wilson is active, the Jets did declare WR Randall Cobb, OL Billy Turner, OL Austin Deculus, LB Chazz Surratt, LB Sam Eguavoen, DE Carl Lawson, and CB Michael Carter II inactive for Week 11.
