SNY’s Connor Hughes reports the Jets are “open to dealing & listening.”
The reports comes off the heels of New York swapping Jermaine Johnson for T’Vondre Sweat. Hughes made it clear the Jets aren’t having a fire sale, though it’s hard to see this as anything else. They sent most of their big names packing at the trade deadline last year, with Sauce Gardner, Quinnen Williams, and Michael Carter all traded. At this point, the Jets are running out of players to deal, even if they want to keep making moves. Justin Fields is expected to be released, but a team looking to sign him could guarantee his services by trading for him. Garrett Wilson was also the subject of trade rumors last year, though the Jets just inked him to a long-term deal and didn’t seem interested in moving him at the deadline.

Jets HC Aaron Glenn said Garrett Wilson (knee) will not return this season.
Glenn had been reluctant to say in recent weeks whether Wilson would return this season, but he has finally confirmed that his WR1 will be shut down for the remainder of the season. Wilson suffered a knee sprain in Week 6 against the Broncos and re-aggravated that same injury in Week 11. The Week 11 injury landed Wilson on injured reserve, meaning he wouldn’t be eligible to return until Week 15. With the Jets in the final weeks of another lost season, there was little reason to force Wilson back on the field and risk another injury. Wilson caught 36 passes for 395 yards and four touchdowns in the seven games he appeared in this season while averaging 8.4 targets per game. This will mark the first time in his four-year career that Wilson failed to go for 1,000 yards, but there’s little reason to believe he won’t be ready to bounce back next season. The Jets have a lot to figure out this offseason, especially at the quarterback position following the failed Justin Fields experiment. Despite the question marks in the team’s QB room, Wilson should profile as a high-upside WR2 in fantasy next season.

Jets HC Aaron Glenn said he did not have an update on Garrett Wilson (knee) possibly returning from injured reserve.
Wilson is eligible to be activated off injured reserve this week, but Glenn declined to comment on whether or not that would happen. The Jets’ head coach said any decision to activate Wilson would be a medical decision that’s made by Wilson and the team doctors. The Jets are 3-10 and in the process of wrapping up another lost season. Given the nature of his knee injury and the fact that it was a re-aggravation that landed him on injured reserve, it would seem there’s little reason for the Jets to risk the health of their top receiver at this point in the season.

Jets HC Aaron Glenn said he thinks Garrett Wilson (knee) will return this season.
Glenn also said that it’s up to the doctors whether or not Wilson, who was placed on IR earlier this week, will return. The star receiver is required to miss at least three more games before a return can even be considered, but it wouldn’t be surprising if the team opted to play it cautious with him in what is already a lost season. The earliest Wilson can return is Week 15 against the Jaguars.

Jets placed WR Garrett Wilson on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Wilson will now miss at least four games as he rehabs his injured knee. He will be eligible to return when the Jets face the Jaguars in Week 15. Following reports on his rehab progress will be worthwhile. Starting a player immediately following an injured reserve stint can be dicey in Week 15. Hopefully, he is practicing in full that week and can be trusted in fantasy lineups. Unfortunately, there is a chance that the team chooses to shut him down for the rest of the year, given their poor record. Stay tuned.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports, “There certainly is a possibility that Garrett Wilson (knee) gets put on injured reserve.”
Rapoport might just be reading the tea leaves here, but it’s a reasonable assessment of the situation. Wilson re-aggravated his lingering knee injury on Sunday and is now expected to miss 3-4 weeks. The Jets are midway through another lost year and Wilson is under contract through the 2023 season. Neither party stands to gain much from rushing him back. Wilson has already been ruled out for Week 11. Putting him on injured reserve later today would force him to miss at least three more games.

Garrett Wilson (knee) will not play in Week 11 against the Patriots.
No surprises here as Wilson is expected to miss 3-4 weeks after reaggravating his knee injury versus the Browns on Sunday. Tyler Johnson and Arian Smith are now the team’s top wideouts. Adonai Mitchell could also be active for the Jets this week after being a healthy scratch in Week 10. No Jets player caught more than one pass last week. There isn’t any fantasy value to be had here.

ESPN’s Rich Cimini reports Garrett Wilson will miss 3-4 weeks with a knee sprain.
Wilson’s return from injury was cut short when he re-aggravated the same knee injury that forced him to the sidelines in Week 6 against the Broncos. It’s a tough blow for one of the league’s worst offenses, which will now look to guys like Adonai Mitchell, John Metchie, and Josh Reynolds to lead a pass offense that has been grounded for much of the season. A four-week absence would mean Wilson could have a chance to suit up in Week 15 against the Jaguars. Given the current state of the Jets’ season, it will be interesting to see if the team opts to play him when healthy or sideline him for the rest of another lost season.

Jets HC Aaron Glenn said he isn’t sure if Garrett Wilson (knee) will be able to play in Week 11 against the Patriots.
Wilson re-aggravated the knee injury he suffered in Week 6 against the Broncos. It was Wilson’s first game back from the injury, and he failed to haul in any of the three targets that came in his direction. Although Justin Fields can certainly be blamed for some of that. Wilson will undergo additional imaging on his knee to determine where things stand right now, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he was again sidelined after this latest setback.

Garrett Wilson re-injured his right knee in the Jets’ Week 10 game against the Browns.
Concerning, though it appeared to be more of a tweak than major concern. Wilson went down in the third quarter. Labeled “questionable,” he spent time on the exercise bike and never left the sideline. He just never returned to what ended up a tight Jets victory. Wilson was held without a catch on three targets before going down. A passing inept Justin fields could get nothing going on a rainy day in Jersey. We would consider Wilson day to day ahead of Week 11 against the Patriots on Thursday Night Football, though the Jets will obviously exercise extreme caution on a short week.
