Speaking on This is Football with Kevin Clark, Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan said he thinks Greg Dulcich “had a really good back-end of the (2025) season and I want to see if he can build on that.”
Sullivan said the main reason for bringing Dulcich back stems from his late-season performance when the fourth-year tight end went for 26-335-1 over the final 10 weeks of the season. Dulcich showed some flashes early in his career, catching 33 passes for 411 yards and two scores as a rookie with the Broncos. He only caught eight passes with the Broncos over the following two seasons, but Dulcich entered the league with good pass-catching prowess. He hauled in 68 passes over his final two seasons at UCLA while averaging an insane 18.3 yards per reception. Dulcich has played almost 50 percent of his snaps from the slot since entering the league, and could see more work in the slot this season in a revamped Dolphins offense. This isn’t the first time this offseason Dulcich has received early hype. ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques said back in March that he believes Dulcich “should figure heavily” into the Dolphins’ passing game.

ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques believes Greg Dulcich “should figure heavily in Miami’s passing game in 2026.”
Dulcich led all tight ends in average yards after the catch in 2026 despite not seeing a full-time role. With Darren Waller in free agency and the Dolphins’ salary cap in shambles, it’s quite possible the Dolphins don’t add further to the tight end position. If they don’t Dulcich can be embraced as a TE2 sleeper with TE1 upside.

Dolphins re-signed TE Greg Dulcich to a one-year, $3.25 million contract.
Dulcich managed 335 receiving yards as a fill-in whenever Darren Waller couldn’t go — which is pretty often these days. Waller is a free agent and Julian Hill is a restricted free agent. Somehow, on a team that spent the little cap space it had on Malik Willis, Dulcich might wind up with a big role in 2026. He’d be hard to trust as a TE1, but someone has to contribute on offense here besides De’Von Achane and Jaylen Waddle. Duclich could see a bigger role in 2026 should he survive the next 72 hours of free agency without any major additions to the room.

Greg Dulcich caught 3-of-4 targets for 31 yards in the Dolphins’ Week 18 loss to the Patriots.
Promoted from the practice squad ahead of Week 8, 25-year-old Dulcich ended up posting his most yards (335) since his 2022 rookie season in Denver. He totaled 28 yards in 2023-24. He was a shockingly steady contributor, as well, catching at least three passes in four of his final five games as Darren Waller battled injury. Not a bad career revival, but also not enough to suggest Dulcich will really be back in the re-draft mix for 2026. We suppose he has at least put himself back on the dynasty league fringes. Dulcich turns 26 in March.

Dolphins placed TE Darren Waller (groin) on injured reserve.
Waller had seen his role in the offense diminish since Quinn Ewers took over as quarterback. The 33-year-old tight end had 66 yards and two touchdowns in his last game with Tua Tagovailoa, but had just 40 yards in a dream matchup against the Bengals in Ewers’ first start. Last week, Greg Dulcich usurped Waller completely. With Waller’s season now over, Dulcich has the role all to himself in Week 18. Waller finished with 283 yards and six touchdowns in three starts, proving he still has TE1 upside in his range of weekly outcomes even if it comes with a heaping serving of “left Week X’s game and did not return.” Waller, 34 at the start of next season, will be a free agent this offseason.

Dolphins TE Darren Waller (groin) did not practice on Thursday.
The Dolphins have let TE Greg Dulcich play ahead of Waller recently. If Waller is unable to play in Week 18 against the Patriots, the coaching staff will only be further incentivized to see what they have in Dulcich. Stay tuned.

Greg Dulcich caught 5-of-6 targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins’ Week 17 win over the Buccaneers.
Dulcich was the Dolphins’ leading target-getter against the Bucs, doing all of his damage in the first half. He scored an 11-yard touchdown at the end of the second quarter and did not record a catch in the second half. Dulcich also added a carry in the red zone that went for a loss of seven yards. He has worked ahead of Darren Waller at the tight end spot for the last few weeks, with Waller catching just one pass for no gain in Week 17. The Dolphins offense will undergo changes heading into next season, but Dulcich is a viable fantasy TE2 for those still playing fantasy games in Week 18.

Greg Dulcich caught 3-of-3 targets for 46 yards in the Dolphins’ Week 16 loss to the Bengals.
This was the second straight week Dulcich posted 46 yards, tying for his second most of the season. Good enough, but the bad was Dulcich’s soft third quarter fumble that helped lead to a 21-0 frame for the Bengals. Still an afterthought behind Darren Waller in an offense trying out a seventh-round rookie quarterback, Dulcich is out of sight, out of mind for the fantasy finals.

Greg Dulcich caught 3-of-3 targets for 41 yards in the Dolphins’ Week 14 win over the Jets.
Dulcich out-snapped Darren Waller and tied him for targets as the Dolphins continue to utilize both in the passing game. He made a catch-and-run of over 20 yards into the red zone that was nullified by penalty and kept his yardage to 41 on the day. Dulcich is difficult to trust on a weekly basis and is on the TE2 borderline for Week 15.

Greg Dulcich caught 2-of-4 targets for 18 yards in the Dolphins’ Week 11 win over the Commanders.
Dulcich earned a healthy 20 percent target share but managed just 3.8 PPR points. Fellow Miami tight end Julian Hill was targeted just once. Dulcich will be well below the TE2 ranks when he returns from the Dolphins’ upcoming bye to face the Broncos.
