Jets RB Breece Hall (knee) is questionable to play in Week 18 against the Bills.
When asked if Hall will play, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said, “we’ll see.” Glenn has played coy with most start-sit decisions in the Jets’ 3-13 season. No reason to stop now. Hall logged just two limited sessions to close the week. He is scheduled to enter free agency at the end of the season. Preserving his health for free agency could be the smart move. He may wish to put his stamp on the season with a strong showing, though. It would be difficult to project his playing time if he is active. Treat him as a volatile RB2 if he suits up. His backup, RB Isaiah Davis (concussion), has been ruled out, leaving Kene Nwangwu (quad) and Khalil Herbert behind Hall.

Jets RB Isaiah Davis (concussion) won’t play in New York’s Week 18 game against the Bills.
Davis never really had a sustained run where he looked to potentially be the lead back in his second season, finishing with a 43/236/1 line on the ground and never crossing the 10-carry threshold. It’s likely that if Breece Hall isn’t brought back, Davis will remain behind Braelon Allen (knee) on the depth chart to open 2026. Davis could grow into a bigger receiving role if Hall leaves, making him a potential Kenny Gainwell-type player next year and someone who could be on the draft radar in what, well, doesn’t look like a very good team at the moment.

Jets RB Isaiah Davis (concussion) did not practice on Thursday.
It’s looking unlikely that Davis will be cleared for Week 18 given the lack of practice — it suggests he’s still in the beginning stages of the protocol. If he rests, Khalil Herbert will likely see backup reps behind Breece Hall against the Bills on Sunday.

Jets RB Isaiah Davis (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday.
Starting RB Breece Hall (knee) was also sidelined by a knee injury, though he told reporters post-game that his knee is fine. Whether he can play on Sunday remains to be seen. Jets RB Kene Nwangwu (quad) is listed as the next man up, with RB Khalil Herbert seated behind him on the depth chart. Nwangwu is practicing fully.

Isaiah Davis rushed three times for 11 yards in the Jets’ Week 17 loss to the Patriots before exiting with a concussion.
Davis suffered the brain injury on a kickoff at the top of the fourth quarter. He was initially listed as questionable to return. The team later ruled him out. Kene Nwangwu took his spot in the lineup. Breece Hall suffered a knee injury late in the contest as well. Nwangwu could draw the start if Davis and Hall can’t go.

Isaiah Davis had three rushes for eight yards in the Jets’ Week 16 loss against the Saints, adding four catches for 52 yards.
Davis once again operated as the team’s RB2 behind Breece Hall, though it was Davis who was Brady Cook’s preferred pass-catching option out of the backfield. Davis reeled in four of his five targets; AD Mitchell was the only Jets pass catcher with more targets (six) on the day. Davis logged 17 pass routes to 22 routes for Hall, who managed one reception. Despite the decent usage, Davis won’t be a fantasy play in Week 17 against the Patriots.

Isaiah Davis rushed three times for 10 yards in the Jets’ Week 10 win over the Browns, adding a one-yard reception.
With the Jets coming out of their bye week, there was a chance Davis could see more work. Instead, he got out-touched 22-4 by Breece Hall. The Jets wanted this to be a two-back backfield, but Davis is not making it possible in Braelon Allen’s absence. He’s a shaky hold in 12-team leagues with the playoffs drawing closer.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports that it is now “possible” the Jets “consider bringing RB Breece Hall back next season.”
Graziano adds that “a couple of weeks ago,” he expected the Jets “to deal Hall just to get something in return before he left as a free agent” at the end of the season. Hall’s standout showing in Week 8 may have changed minds inside the Jets’ front office. Per Graziano, “there are people in the Jets building who are leery of the idea of trading Hall, who showed Sunday that he can still be a dynamic threat and a key element of their offense.” Jets No. 2 RB Braelon Allen (knee) remains on injured reserve. Jettisoning Hall would leave them only with the albeit intriguing backup RB Isaiah Davis. If the Jets continue using Hall like they did last week, he can consistently return RB1 value down the line this season. Of course, Graziano adds that “if a team gives the Jets a strong enough offer for Hall, they would probably take it.”

Isaiah Davis rushed seven times for 65 yards in the Jets’ Week 8 win over the Bengals, adding five catches for 44 yards.
Davis also reeled in a two-point conversion late in the game to keep the Jets’ hopes of a comeback alive. Breece Hall still led the way with 18 rush attempts, but Davis appears to have carved out a notable role on passing downs. He saw five targets to Hall’s three. The Jets may actually be able to keep their ground game humming after their Week 9 bye when they take on the Browns at home. Davis will have some RB5 fantasy value when he returns from the bye.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano report that they expect the Jets to “consider dealing veterans to acquire draft capital” and “probably will be active sellers.”
In a linked article, Fowler identifies the Chargers, Chiefs and Texans as the best fits for Jets RB Breece Hall and puts Hall’s odds of being traded at 35.0 percent, for what that’s worth. The 24-year-old running back is scheduled to enter free agency at the end of the year, and the Jets currently have RB Braelon Allen (knee, injured reserve) and RB Isaiah Davis under contract through 2027. Davis can be stashed, speculatively, at this time. Acquiring draft picks in exchange for Hall makes sense from a team-building perspective. Should he land with the Chargers or Chiefs, Hall’s fantasy-scoring ceiling could rise considerably, operating as a featured player in a high-scoring offense. Things could become complicated upon Chargers RB Omarion Hampton’s (ankle) return from injured reserve in the former scenario. Hall would undoubtedly become the Texans’ lead running back but the positional rotation gets a bit murkier. The ESPN reporters also list EDGE Jermaine Johnson and CB Michael Carter II also potential trade candidates.
