Chiefs signed RB Isaih Pacheco to a four-year contract.
Seventh-rounder Pacheco enters a depth chart with Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Ronald Jones well ahead of him, and faces a competition with two other rookie UDFA backs (Jerrion Ealy, Tayon Fleet-Davis), Derrick Gore, and Brenden Knox for either one or two roster spots. Any back with some carries in this offense projects to have value, so this is a dynasty league competition to keep an eye on even if nobody’s likely to have value in standard leagues this year.

  • KC Running Back #80
Chiefs signed Ole Miss RB Jerrion Ealy.
Ealy (5'8/189) had a productive three-year career at Ole Miss, amassing 2,780 yards from scrimmage and 24 offensive touchdowns along with two kick return scores. He was selected to the second-team All-SEC team all three seasons. A two-sport athlete, Ealy was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2019 MLB Draft but did not sign. Ealy tested well at the Combine, running a 4.52 40 with a 34.5-inch vertical and 10-foot-8 broad jump. Given his return skills and ability to contribute in the passing game, Ealy will likely find a home on an NFL roster, but he could be limited to a complementary or gadget role on offense, putting a damper on his fantasy upside.
