Jesse Holley hauled in three passes for 96 yards including a 77-yard catch that set up the Cowboys’ game winning field goal in overtime.
It was a Week 2 coming out party for the former winner of Michael Irvin’s “4th and Long” reality show on Spike TV. He could be given an opportunity to pass Kevin Ogletree for the team’s third wide receiver job, but he isn’t worth an add in fantasy leagues.
  • NE Wide Receiver #16
Cowboys non-tendered exclusive rights free agent WR Jesse Holley.
The winner of Michael Irvin’s 4th and Long reality show, Holley provided one of Dallas’ big highlights last season with a 77-yard catch to beat the 49ers. He simply doesn’t have the speed to be any more than a special teamer in the NFL.
  • FA Wide Receiver #81
Laurent Robinson jogged to the locker room with trainers during the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Cardinals due to a right shoulder injury, but later returned.
At the end of a screen pass, Robinson got flattened to the turf by Cardinals DL Darnell Docket. He immediately rolled over in pain. Jesse Holley has come on opposite Dez Bryant. Miles Austin (hamstring) is tentatively expected back next week.
  • NE Wide Receiver #16
Patriots signed WR Jesse Holley, formerly of the Cowboys.
Holley, a former basketball player at North Carolina, goes 6-foot-2, 220 and turned 28 in January. He’ll compete for a roster spot on special teams.
  • NE Wide Receiver #16
Jesse Holley, the winner of Michael Irvin’s “4th and Long” reality show on Spike TV, returned a punt 82 yards for a score on Friday.
Holley also missed two tackles on Minnesota’s Darius Reynaud’s 81-yard punt return touchdown.
  • NE Wide Receiver #16
Cowboys signed WR Jesse Holley, OG Travis Bright, QB Rudy Carpenter, TE Scott Chandler, FB Julius Crosslin, DE Marcus Dixon, WR Manuel Johnson, and CB Mike Mickens to their practice squad.
Holley’s 82-yard punt return touchdown wasn’t enough for him to beat out undrafted rookie Kevin Oglesby to be Dallas’ fifth receiver. Johnson and Mickens were draft picks this year. Mickens is essentially their fifth corner.
  • NE Wide Receiver #16
Cowboys signed WR Jesse Holley, WR Manny Johnson, and DE Marcus Dixon to reserve/futures contracts.
Holley, winner of Michael Irvin’s reality show 4th and Long, and Johnson will enter the offseason as the Cowboys’ sixth and seventh receivers. Dixon has bulked up and will be in the mix for a roster spot this summer.
  • NE Wide Receiver #16
Cowboys WR Jesse Holley has a legitimate shot to make the final roster over WR Sam Hurd.
Holley would make about $1.5M less than Hurd if he made the roster, and he has reportedly been a standout on special teams. It’s safe to say that Hurd is in danger of losing his job.
  • NE Wide Receiver #16
Cowboys signed WR Jesse Holley from their practice squad.
Holley, who earned a spot on Dallas’ practice squad last year after winning Michael Irvin’s competition, will play special teams as long as he lasts.
  • DAL Wide Receiver
If Roy Williams (groin) misses Sunday’s game, Manny Johnson is expected to serve as the third receiver.
Special teamer Jesse Holley is also banged up, missing the last two practices with a knee injury. Sam Hurd will likely get the call opposite Miles Austin. Jon Kitna rarely looks beyond 10-15 yards, so he should be fine continuing to throw dumpoffs to Jason Witten, Felix Jones, and Austin.
