Bears signed OL Jordan McFadden, formerly of the Chargers.
This is good news for McFadden, who was waived by the Chargers just yesterday. The 2023 fifth-round now pick gets another shot at securing an active roster spot on a looking to bounce back from a disappointing season.
  • FA Guard #71
    Chargers waived OL Jordan McFadden.
McFadden was a fifth-round pick by the Chargers in 2023. He’s played 13 games in his career while making two starts and earned a 52.0 PFF offense grade as a rookie. Now, on waivers, any team will have a chance to claim McFadden before he becomes a free agent.
  • LAC Tight End #88
Hayden Hurst (hip) is active for Week 16 against the Broncos.
Hurt will be playing for the first time since the end of November after being placed on injured reserve with his hip injury He isn’t likely to be a major fantasy contributor, but with Will Dissly (shoulder) inactive, it could open up some snaps/targets. The remaining inactives for the Chargers are CB Cam Hart S Elijah Molden LB Shaquille Quarterman OL Brenden Jaimes OL Jordan McFadden and QB Easton Stick (emergency QB)
Matthew Berry, Connor Rogers and Jay Croucher give their favorite prop bets for the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Broncos and Chargers in Denver, including Courtland Sutton having over 60.5 receiving yards.
  • CHI Offensive Lineman #74
Chargers selected Clemson OG Jordan McFadden with the No. 156 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
McFadden (6’2/303) was a 3-star recruit, and the 66th-ranked offensive tackle in the 2018 recruiting class, from Roebuck, South Carolina, according to 247 Sports. McFadden is an odd projection. His dearth of athleticism would imply that he fits inside best. Although he runs fast, with a 94th percentile 40 yard dash, he would be 0th percentile in height. What’s more puzzling still is he actually has very good arm length with 33.75” arms. All this adds up to a guard prospect with little experience. He has heavy hands that become a great asset inside as he will have to learn to work in tandem with interior linemen against much heavier opponents. He will need some time to learn a new position, but his weaknesses are very much mitigated by this switch and should highlight his strengths.
