  • PHI Wide Receiver #80
Eagles WR Julio Jones (concussion) will not return to the Wildcard Round game against the Buccaneers.
Jones was shaken up on a reception towards the end of the second quarter. He was evaluated during the half and subsequently ruled out. His night ends with three receptions for 22 yards.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #6
DeVonta Smith (ankle) did not practice Friday.
Smith hasn’t practiced all week and appears unlikely to play in Week 18 against the Giants. The Eagles will rest their No. 2 receiver ahead of the postseason, though it’s unclear if other starters will sit out or be limited against New York. Julio Jones could slot in as the Eagles’ No. 2 behind A.J. Brown with Smith sidelined. Jones in Week 17 caught both of his targets for 34 yards and two touchdowns.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #80
Julio Jones caught 2-of-2 targets for 34 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ Week 17 loss to the Cardinals.
It was about the most random pop-up game imaginable for a player who entered the proceedings with seven catches in nine games. We always love to see Julio Jones thrive, but there is nothing projectable about this outing ... is what we wrote before we knew DeVonta Smith injured his foot. Jones could be needed for more targets than usual in Week 18 against the Giants. He’ll probably still end up a money sink in DFS.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #80
Julio Jones caught both targets for five yards in the Eagles’ Week 11 win over the Chiefs.
Jones continued in a modest snap rate role for the Eagles, sharing WR3 duties with Olamide Zaccheaus against the Chiefs. He’ll need to find the end zone in order to return any semblance of fantasy utility moving forward.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #80
Julio Jones caught 1-of-2 targets for eight yards and one touchdown in the Eagles’ Week 8 win over the Commanders.
Jones’ lone score came on an end zone target from Jalen Hurts in fourth quarter to give the Eagles a 31-24 lead. As expected, the veteran receiver has been lightly utilized through two games and doesn’t have any fantasy upside at this time.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #80
Eagles elevated WR Julio Jones from the practice squad for Week 8 against the Commanders.
Jones will make his second appearance for the Eagles after being signed to the practice squad before the team’s Week 7 win over the Dolphins. He had just one catch on 16 offensive snaps a week ago but could see an expanded role against the Commanders.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #80
Julio Jones caught his lone target for three yards in the Eagles’ Week 7 win over the Dolphins.
More importantly, Jones was the only wide receiver other than A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith to catch a pass in what has become one of the most concentrated offenses in the league. Jones should continue to work his way into more snaps as the season progresses and brings an interesting set of skills to what could become a more regular slot role moving forward.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #80
Eagles elevated WR Julio Jones from the practice squad for Week 7 against the Dolphins.
Jones will get his first game action of the 2023 season after signing a one-year contract with the Eagles earlier in the week. Expect a rather modest snap rate and involvement after being with the franchise for under a week, but it is certainly exciting to see him back in an NFL uniform.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #6
Eagles signed WR Julio Jones to a one-year contract.
The seven-time Pro-Bowler is signing a one-year deal with the Eagles. The 34-year-old is coming off of a down year in Tampa Bay, where he caught 24-of-43 targets from Tom Brady for 299 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games. In fact, Jones hasn’t posted an 800 yard season since 2019. He figures to be a complementary option in Philadelphia where he will be reunited with his former Titans teammate, AJ Brown, who pushed for Tennessee to trade for Jones when the veteran was in Atlanta. Jones’ tenure with the Eagles will begin on the practice squad, but he figures to be elevated to the 53-man roster quickly. Outside of deep leagues, Jones can be left off the fantasy radar.
  • Wide Receiver #80
Julio Jones caught 7-of-11 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in the Bucs’ Wild Card Round loss to the Cowboys.
Coming off an injury-lost season in Tennessee, Jones joined the Bucs looking to revive his career alongside the greatest quarterback of all time. Instead, as has been the case in each of his previous three seasons, he struggled through various injuries and was a lesser version of himself. Jones appeared in 10 games for Tampa Bay, earning 24 catches for 299 yards and two scores. Even when he was active, the Bucs platooned him with Russell Gage for their No. 3 receiver role. Jones pitched in for the occasional big play but generally looked like a shell of his former self. A free agent in the spring, Jones won’t earn more than a one-year contract on the open market.
