The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec believes the Ravens see Justice Hill “as a good complement to Derrick Henry and really value his ability out of the backfield and in blitz pickup.”

Hill ended 2025 on injured reserve because of a neck issue. He was reportedly a cut candidate during the offseason and the team selected Clemson running back Adam Randall on Day Three of the draft. It seemed possible that the team planned on replacing Hill this year, but Zrebiec shot that idea down, at least for the start of the season. Zrebiec answered, “I can’t see that happening from the jump,” in reference to a question about Randall opening the season as Baltimore’s backup running back. Hill caught 21 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown in 10 games last year. He also punched in a pair of touchdowns on the ground despite running just 18 times. His ceiling is extremely limited, even in the event of a Henry injury, but Hill should have some standalone RB4 value in PPR leagues.

The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec reports Justice Hill has “been mentioned as a potential salary-cap cut.”

Hill has a $3.8 million cap figure, of which the Ravens can save $3.1 million with a release. He missed the final six weeks of the season with a long-term neck injury, and turns 29 next November. Zrebiec brought up this idea in mentioning that the Ravens could chase a running back in the lower rounds of the draft to add to the room behind Derrick Henry.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Justice Hill (neck) could return in “3-4 weeks.”

Rasheen Ali will continue as the Ravens third-down back in the meantime, per Harbaugh. Keaton Mitchell is probably a better second Ravens back to roster at this point for most fantasy leagues than Ali. Hill can be dropped in all shallow formats.

Justice Hill (neck) will not play in Week 13 against the Bengals.

Hill was a mid-week addition to the injury report, going from a normal practice on Monday to a DNP because of the neck issue on Tuesday. He previously missed time with a toe injury. Keaton Mitchell will continue to operate as the change-of-pace back this week. Mitchell is worth a look in large-field DFS contests for the Thanksgiving slate, but redraft managers can leave him on the waiver wire for now.

Ravens RB Justice Hill (neck) did not participate in Tuesday’s practice.

Hill pops up on the injury report with a neck issue. It is presumably new, given he was not on the injury report Monday. A new neck injury is cause for concern in terms of game status and Hill is in jeopardy of missing the Ravens’ Thanksgiving game against the Bengals. If he does miss, Keaton Mitchell will get a bump in pass-catching duties.

Ravens declared RB Justice Hill, WR Rashod Bateman, CB Marlon Humphrey, OG Emery Jones, OT Joseph Noteboom, DT Aeneas Peebles and QB Cooper Rush inactive for Week 11 against the Browns.

Earlier this week, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he hopes to further incorporate RB Keaton Mitchell into the game plan. He has an opportunity to do so here with Hill sidelined by a toe injury. Mitchell should be a decent bench stash down the stretch. Bateman is sidelined by an ankle injury, giving the speedy and unproven WR Devontez Walker a chance to contribute. Mitchell does not need to be in re-draft lineups this week, and Walker does not need to be rostered.

Ravens RB Justice Hill (toe) will not play in Baltimore’s Week 11 game against the Browns.

Hill did get in a limited session on Friday, but it wasn’t enough for the Ravens to make him active for Week 11. Keaton Mitchell (knee) was taken off the final injury report and figures to be Baltimore’s No. 2 back on Sunday.

Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell (knee) practiced in full on Thursday.

Fellow backup RB Justice Hill (toe) remains sidelined, setting up Mitchell for No. 2 running back duties against the Browns. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told reporters earlier this week that he hopes to further incorporate Mitchell on game day. That should not be an issue with Hill heading toward a Week 11 absence. Mitchell should be stashed at this time.

Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell (knee) was limited on Wednesday.

Mitchell has been encroaching on RB Justice Hill’s role in recent weeks and Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told reporters on Monday that he wants to get Mitchell even more involved. While Mitchell’s limited session is less than ideal, Hill was unable to practice at all while dealing with a toe injury. Mitchell is a high-upside stash option. He should be rostered in 12-team leagues.

Keaton Mitchell rushed four times for 11 yards in the Ravens’ Week 9 win over the Dolphins, adding a seven-yard reception.

Five touches for 18 yards is nothing to call home about, but this was the second consecutive week Mitchell out-touched Justice Hill. He was also cutting into Hill’s breather back snaps behind workhorse Derrick Henry. Hunting for sparks as they keep digging out of the hole from their 1-5 start, the Ravens are probably committed to increasing Mitchell’s role at Hill’s expense. Just don’t expect it to turn into 12-team league value any time soon.
