    Chiefs released WR Justyn Ross.
Ross has posted plenty of camp highlights over the last two offseasons and was once viewed as a potential contributor to the Chiefs’ offense if he could kick the injury bugs that plagued him in college. Unfortunately for Ross, who is seemingly healthy, three years wasn’t enough time to earn a role with the Chiefs. Last year’s arrest and suspension also didn’t do him any favors. Ross was once considered a top receiver prospect before injuries slowed him while at Clemson. We’ll see if any teams take a shot on him in the coming days not that he’s available.

Chiefs listed Kadarius Toney (ankle/hip) as questionable for the Divisional Round matchup against the Bills.
Toney was listed as limited in practice throughout the week and will officially be questionable heading into the weekend. A true wild card in the Chiefs’ offense, Toney has been lightly used all season but could be ramped up in the playoffs at a moment’s notice. If he’s active, Toney is little more than a high-upside dart throw in DFS lineups. In addition to Toney, the Chiefs also listed Justyn Ross (hamstring) as questionable.

CBS Sports’s Jonathan Jones reports Richie James, Rashee Rice, and Justyn Ross are expected to see “expanded roles” moving forward.
James already saw his role improve in Week 16. He was targeted three times and caught all three looks for a total of 54 yards. Rice has been a full-time player for a few weeks, so we don’t expect much to change with him. Ross missed time in the middle of the season while on the exempt list but is now back with the team. He caught his only target for two yards in Week 16 but should see more work going forward. With the Chiefs’ offense in shambles relative to their sky-high expectations, they appear willing to do anything to find a winning combination of pass-catchers as the playoffs approach.

Justyn Ross (suspension) returned to practice for Week 15 against the Patriots.
Ross was given a six-game suspension after being placed on the Commissioner Exempt List in October. The NFL took action after Ross was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery and misdemeanor property damage. He is eligible to return this week and appears on track to do so. Ross isn’t on the redraft radar but could see an uptick in reps late in the season as the Chiefs attempt to find some production at wideout beyond Rashee Rice.

Justyn Ross is eligible to return to the Chiefs in Week 15.
Ross was placed on the Commissioner Exempt List in October after being arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery and misdemeanor property damage. The league has opted to suspend Ross for six games, but he’s already missed five since being placed on the exempt list, which is credited to his suspension. Week 14 will mark Ross’ sixth missed game, making him eligible to return. The former UDFA, who has been the subject of Chiefs training camp in back-to-back offseasons, has three receptions for 34 yards this year.

Chiefs WR Justyn Ross was placed on the Commissioner Exempt List following his arrest on Monday.
Ross was arrested on Monday for misdemeanor domestic battery and misdemeanor property damage. The second-year receiver pleaded not guilty to both charges, but with a court date scheduled for December, it’s likely this is the last we will hear of Ross for the 2023-2024 season. The former UDFA has hung around on the Chiefs for the last two years, and has caught three passes for 34 yards this season.

The Kansas City Star’s Sam McDowell and Jesse Newell report Chiefs WR Justyn Ross has been charged with domestic battery and criminal property damage.
Ross was arrested and subsequently released from jail after being charged with domestic battery and criminal property damage. His next court date is set for December. Ross’ new legal troubles and lack of on-field production push him further into fantasy irrelevance.

ESPN’s Adam Teicher believes the roles for Rashee Rice and Justyn Ross “might be limited early in the season or at least until the coaches are comfortable with giving them a bigger workload.”
Teicher says Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Skyy Moore, and Justin Watson will lead the team in wideout snaps early in the season. Ross, Rice, and Kadarius Toney will be used in special offensive packages, per Teicher. Richie James, meanwhile, will play some slot snaps and serve as the team’s kick returner. With seven receivers on the roster, it would not be a surprise if two wideouts are inactive for Week 1 against the Lions. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on Thursday night inactives for the Chiefs.

The Athletic’s Nate Taylor reports Justyn Ross has made the Chiefs’ 53-man roster.
Ross’ stock rose continuously throughout the preseason, and now, the former Clemson Tiger has made the Chiefs’ 53-man roster. Ross could be on the verge of making 31 other teams pay for passing on him throughout the 2022 NFL Draft. How those teams allowed him to eventually land with the Chiefs is still being looked into, but the former four-star receiver battled through foot injuries to eventually get to this spot. Ross may not step into a key role out of the gate, but his strong summer is enough to suggest he could eventually see meaningful snaps.

Justyn Ross (leg) returned to practice Wednesday.
Ross left the field under his own power after sustaining a leg injury on Tuesday but was eventually road the cart into the team’s facility. He was riding in the front seat of the cart and returned to practice the next day, so the second-year receiver was likely dealing with nothing more than cramps. With this bullet dodged, Ross’s battle for a roster spot can now continue.
