Eagles declared QB Sam McKee, DE Azeez Ojulari, RB Will Shipley, DE Ogbo Okoronkwo, LB Patrick Johnson, OL Drew Kendall and OL Kenyon Green inactive for Week 3 against the Rams.
McKee will be the third QB for the tilt against Los Angeles, with Sam Howell operating as the backup to Jalen Hurts. Shipley is out with an oblique injury, paving the way for Tank Bigsby and A.J. Dillon — not necessarily in that order — to get the carries behind bellcow Saquon Barkley.
  • PHI Guard #76
Eagles signed OG Kenyon Green off their practice squad.
Green’s promotion coincides with OG/C Willie Lampkin being placed on injured reserve. Lampkin was waived by the Rams with an injury designation after suffering a preseason knee injury. Lampkin will be eligible to return after four games missed.
  • PHI Running Back #23
Eagles signed RB Audric Estime to their practice squad.
The second-year back will get a fresh start in Philadelphia, perhaps eventually pushing A.J. Dillon off the roster. Also on Philadelphia’s practice squad are: LB Chance Campbell, WR Elijah Cooks, G Kenyon Green, TE E.J. Jenkins, CB Brandon Johnson, OLB Patrick Johnson, TE Cameron Latu, WR Terrace Marshall, QB Kyle McCord, CB Parry Nickerson, T Hollin Pierce, OLB Antwaun Powell-Ryland, CB Eli Ricks and S Andre Sam.
  • FA Wide Receiver #46
    Eagles released WR Terrace Marshall.
Marshall was unable to secure a roster spot with John Metchie III now in the fold. The Eagles also released LS Charley Hughlett, OLB Patrick Johnson, T Kendall Lamm, CB Parry Nickerson, WR Avery Williams. The Eagles waived WR Ife Adeyi, LB Chance Campbell, CB Tariq Castro-Fields, WR Elijah Cooks, LB Lance Dixon, DT Joe Evans, LB Dallas Gant, G Kenyon Green, S Maxen Hook, TE E.J. Jenkins, CB Brandon Johnson, RB Montrell Johnson, TE Cameron Latu, OLB Ochaun Mathis, QB Kyle McCord, WR Taylor Morin, TE Nick Muse, T Hollin Pierce, RB ShunDerrick Powell, OLB Antwaun Powell-Ryland, CB Eli Ricks, DE Jereme Robinson, RB Keilan Robinson, DT Justin Rogers, S Andre Sam, WR Ainias Smith, DT Jacob Sykes, T Laekin Vakalahi and CB A.J. Woods.
  • FA Guard #76
Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reports the Eagles waived G Kenyon Green.
Green is a former first-round pick (15th overall in 2022) of the Texans and was acquired by the Eagles in a March trade that sent S C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Texans. The 24-year-old guard has 23 starts to his name, but the Eagles are cutting this experiment short before the regular season after he missed time in camp with a shoulder injury. We’ll see if Green’s draft capital and experience will be enough for him to catch on with another organization.
  • PHI Guard #76
Eagles did not exercise OG Kenyon Green’s fifth-year team option for 2026.
Philly acquired Green via trade this offseason. The former No. 15 overall pick was a disaster in Houston, forcing the Texans to trade him for pennies on the dollar. The Eagles turned around Mekhi Becton’s career last year after he struggled with the Jets. They could work the same magic on Green, but his fifth-year option was never a consideration. Green is the favorite to replace Becton at right guard in 2025.
  • PHI Guard #76
Eagles acquired OG Kenyon Green and a fifth-round pick from the Texans in exchange for S C.J. Gardner-Johnson and a sixth-round pick.
Both picks are from the 2026 NFL Draft. The Eagles are getting younger in the secondary and CJGJ was a potential cut candidate. Instead, Garnder-Johnson finds a home with a contending AFC team and the Eagles land some extra offensive line depth plus a slight draft capital upgrade. Green was a first-round pick in 2022 but hasn’t panned out with the Texans, receiving disastrous blocking grades from Pro Football Focus in both of his full seasons. The Eagles, however, made the most of a similar situation last year by installing former Jets tackle Mekhi Becton at right guard. Becton played well in the role and is likely headed for a big contract on the open market. Green should get a shot at the starting right guard job in Philly.
  • HOU Guard #76
The Houston Chronicle’s Jon Alexander reports the Texans are not expected to pick up G Kenyon Green’s fifth-year option.
Green was disastrous in pass blocking early in the season. He was so mistrusted by the coaching staff that after returning from a shoulder injury in December, Green never saw another rep as a starter. Green has full-season PFF grades of 37.7 (2022) and 38.6 (2024) buttressing a lost season due to knee surgery and is not a lock to make the Texans 53-man roster in 2025.
  • HOU Guard #76
Texans activated OG Kenyon Green (shoulder) off injured reserve.
Green has been on IR with a shoulder injury since early November. He had struggled in both pass blocking and run blocking before the injury, and will likely rejoin a Houston offensive line in Week 16 graded by Pro Football Focus as the league’s fifth worst run blocking unit and the 11th worst pass blocking unit.
  • HOU Linebacker #48
Texans designated LB Christian Harris (knee) for return from injured reserve.
In addition to Harris, the Texans also opened the 21-day return window for offensive guard Kenyon Green. With linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair suspended for the team’s next three games, Harris should be tasked with a bigger role once he returns to action. The third-year linebacker has not played a regular season snap, but tallied a career-high 101 tackles and two sacks last season.
