Kyle Juszczyk caught his only target for 11 yards in San Francisco’s Divisional Round loss to the Seahawks.
Juicecheck had his most prolific regular season in terms of catches and touches since 2021, recording a 24-213-2 receiving line in the regular season and a 4/49 performance in the Wild Card round against the Eagles. He’ll enter free agency again this offseason and figures to be a low-priority target for the 49ers entering his age-35 season.
  • SF Fullback #44
Kyle Juszczyk caught 2-of-2 targets for 14 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers’ Week 17 win over the Bears.
Juice scored on an unreal play from quarterback Brock Purdy in which the former Mr. Irrelevant evaded two would-be sacks to deliver the football to the left corner of the end zone and into the waiting hands of Juszczyk. The veteran fullback remains unlikely to see meaningful volume on a weekly basis but his moderate snap rates keep a sporadic touchdown within his range of outcomes.
  • SF Fullback #44
49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said Kyle Juszczyk is dealing with a fractured rib.
Juszczyk will be evaluated after the 49ers’ Week 14 bye. The veteran fullback has totaled 20 receptions for 187 yards and one touchdown this season, and continues to serve primarily as a run blocker in Shanahan’s offense.
  • SF Quarterback #10
49ers QB Mac Jones (knee) is questionable for Week 4 against the Jaguars.
49ers starting QB Brock Purdy (toe/left shoulder) has been cleared to play, so Jones has been put back into the No. 2 spot. He played admirably in his two starts, completing 53-of-80 passes for 563 yards, four touchdowns and one interception and rushing seven times for five yards despite aggravating a summer PCL sprain in Week 3. For fantasy managers in two-quarterback leagues with no one better to stash, he can be left on the bench this week to see how Purdy’s health holds up. For everyone else, he can be dropped. The 49ers also ruled out WR Jordan Watkins (calf) and DT CJ West (thumb). FB Kyle Juszczyk passed the NFL’s concussion protocol and will be active for Week 4 against the Jaguars.
  • SF Fullback #44
49ers FB Kyle Juszczyk (concussion) left San Francisco’s Week 2 game against the Saints and is “week to week.”
The 49ers’ lead blocker and occasional gadget man suffered the injury early in San Francisco’s Week 2 contest. Less involved in the offense than he used to be, Juszczyk’s absence shouldn’t really reverberate across fantasy football.
  • SF Running Back #44
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the 49ers are re-signing FB Kyle Juszczyk to a two-year, $8 million contract.
It’s been an eventful week for Juszczyk. He was released by the 49ers earlier this week in a cap-saving measure that freed up $4.2 million in 2025. The nine-time Pro Bowler met with the Steelers before eventually ending up back in San Francisco. He turns 34 in April, but has started 31 games over the last two seasons and last earned All-Pro honors in 2023.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports free agent FB Kyle Juszczyk is meeting with the Steelers.
Juszczyk was released by the 49ers earlier this week and is now free to sign with any team. The 34-year-old, do-it-all fullback can fill a number of roles for the Steelers. Per PFF, he led all fullbacks with 245 routes run last season and has run 200 or more routes in each of his last four seasons. Whether it’s with the Steelers or somewhere else, Juszczyk should have no trouble landing a job for the 2025 season.
  • SF Running Back #44
    49ers released FB Kyle Juszczyk.
Per Adam Schefter, Juszczyk intends to test free agency and wants to keep playing in the league, but it could be difficult to come across a situation that brings as much playing time as he had in San Francisco considering the dying art of the fullback position. The 12-year veteran has spent the previous eight seasons with the 49ers after coming into the league with the Ravens in 2013. Now entering his age-34 season, Juszczyk no longer brings the same rushing and receiving upside he once did, but he remains one of the better all-around fullbacks in the league.
  • SF Running Back #44
Kyle Juszczyk caught 2-of-3 targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers’ Week 18 loss to the Cardinals.
Juszczyk leaked out and was left uncovered on his 36-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. It was only his third score of the year in a season he finishes with 226 yards from scrimmage. Juszczyk’s 19 receptions were a disappointing total considering the 49ers’ injury issues at both running back and receiver. Heading into the final year of his contract, Juszczyk is out of guaranteed money as he goes on age 34. There’s little chance he’s back at his currently scheduled $4.1 million salary, but a restructure is a strong possibility.

Kyle Juszczyk (arm) exited Week 4 against the Patriots.
Juszczyk trotted off-field, holding one arm against his chest. He is unlikely to return with just two minutes left in the game.
