Broncos coach Sean Payton said the Broncos have “got to continue to find more touches for” Marvin Mims “on the offensive side of the ball and we’ll do that.”
Mims has just four targets since October 19. The meaning of “more” would appear almost limitless when weighed against that. Still, for those of you holding on in dynasty leagues as the third-year receiver fell behind Pat Bryant, this could be the little bit of hope you needed to realize “wait, Marvin Mims was still on my roster?”

Marvin Mims caught 1-of-1 targets for five yards in the Broncos’ Week 14 win over the Raiders.
Mims’ receiving role is almost a non-factor, but the shifty wide receiver did manage to return a second-quarter punt for a 48-yard touchdown, marking his first such trip to the end zone. Mims also rushed once for two yards. He does not need to be rostered in re-draft leagues.

Pat Bryant caught 5-of-6 targets for 82 yards in Denver’s Week 11 win over the Chiefs
Career highs in catches, targets, and yards are following Bryant’s somewhat expanded role since Week 5. He’s played at least 30 snaps in every game since then, and the Chiefs let him get free for a 48-yarder that momentarily landed Bryant in concussion protocol before he returned later in the game. Heading into the bye, we don’t think Bryant is necessarily a good bet to explode on to the scene in the fantasy playoffs, but he’s building a case that it’s in the range of outcomes. He’s banished Marvin Mims (15 snaps in return from a concussion) to an ancillary gadget role.

Broncos WR Marvin Mims is active for Denver’s Week 11 game against the Chiefs.
He’ll try to get his WR3 role or a split back from Pat Bryant today. Inactive for the Broncos are CB Patrick Surtain (pectoral), LB Alex Singleton (illness), LB Jonah Elliss (hamstring), T Geron Christian, DL Jordan Jackson, and DE Sai’vion Jones.

Broncos WR Marvin Mims (concussion) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 11 against the Chiefs.
The Broncos get their erratically productive wide receiver back after a two-game absence. The Chiefs’ defense is very good, and Mims is hardly reliable, but this should be a fantasy-friendly game environment. Consider Mims a volatile FLEX option, reliant on a big play.

Marvin Mims (concussion) is practicing in full for Week 11 against the Chiefs.
Mims returned to practice last week, but a short turnaround to Thursday Night Football made it impossible for him to clear the league’s concussion protocol in time. A full practice today puts him on track to be cleared well ahead of Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. Mims has been stuck in a part-time role this year but is still capable of breaking long plays. He will be a WR5 for his first game in three weeks.

Broncos declared WR Marvin Mims Jr., CB Pat Surtain II, TE Nate Adkins, RB Jaleel McLaughlin, OLB Que Robinson, DL Sav’ion Jones and DL Jordan Jackson inactive for Week 10 against the Raiders.
Mims (concussion) and Surtain (pectoral) both missed the Broncos’ Week 9 game against the Texans as well. The Broncos’ top-tier defense should be okay in this one, but it is an unfortunate missed opportunity for Mims’ fantasy managers. The speedy wide receiver would have had decent odds of producing an explosive gain or two against the Raiders.

Marvin Mims (concussion) will not play in Week 10 against the Raiders.
Mims returned to practice this week but failed to clear the league’s concussion protocol ahead of Thursday’s game. He should be back for a pivotal game against the Chiefs in Week 11. Troy Franklin and Courtland Sutton will continue to dominate the Broncos’ targets in his absence. RJ Harvey could also see a few more designed touches once again.

Marvin Mims (concussion) returned to practice on Tuesday.
It’s a big step in the right direction for the speedy wideout. Mims missed Week 9 because of the concussion and wasn’t able to practice on Monday. After looking like a safe bet to miss Week 10 as of 24 hours ago, Mims now has a shot to suit up for Denver’s Thursday date with the Raiders. Mims still has some hurdles to clear in the league’s concussion protocol, so keep an eye out for his practice status tomorrow. If he is back in the lineup for Week 10, Mims will be a boom/bust WR4.

Broncos WR Marvin Mims (concussion) was listed as a non-participant on Monday’s estimated practice report.
Monday’s practice report was an estimation but Mims’ status as a “DNP” does not bode well for his status for the team’s Week 10 matchup against the Raiders on a short week. Mims was concussed in Week 8, meaning Thursday night’s game will be 11 days since suffering the injury. He will need to get on the field in some fashion this week to clear the league’s concussion protocol and play in just three days.
