  • NO Cornerback #29
Stanford CB Paulson Adebo recorded an unofficial 4.42 40-yard dash time at Thursday’s pro day workout.
Adebo (6'1/190) ran back-to-back 40-yard dashes of 4.42 and 4.51 seconds, which are considered very strong times for the Stanford cornerback. He bolstered his strong 40-times with a vertical jump of 36.5 inches and 18 reps on the bench press, both credible marks for his position. The former All Pac-12 selection started Stanford’s first nine games last year, accounting for 33 total tackles, four interceptions and 10 pass breakups. Adebo will have a shot at being a Day 2 selection in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Stanford redshirt junior CB Paulson Adebo is opting out of the 2020 season and entering the NFL Draft.
Adebo (6'1"/190) suffered an undisclosed season-ending injury in 2019 after delivering a standout 2018. In light of his previous serious injury it makes sense that he would want to protect himself from another such ailment. The former All Pac-12 selection started Stanford’s first nine games last year, accounting for 33 total tackles, four interceptions and 10 pass breakups. With a return to a strong combine showing, Adebo will have a shot at being a Day 1 selection in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Stanford redshirt junior CB Paulson Adebo allowed an average of 1.24 yards per coverage snap in 2019 according to Pro Football Focus’ Anthony Treash.
“A season-ending injury after Week 11 didn’t help Adebo’s draft stock, either,” Treash wrote. “If Adebo’s 2020 is close to what we saw in 2018, he’ll be right back into early-round consideration.” Adebo (6'1/190) began the 2019 season as a cornerback that more than a few analysts believed could be an early round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. But after excelling in 2018 he struggled last season, and ultimately decided that it would be best to return to The Farm for the 2020 campaign. A bounce back season could put Adebo in the Day 1 conversation for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Stanford redshirt sophomore DB Paulson Adebo announced Friday that he will return to school for the 2020 season.
Adebo (6'1/190) was a first team all-conference selection (coaches) this season, but with regard to the NFL the 2019 campaign wasn’t a particularly impressive one for him. With that being the case, as more than a few draft analysts believed that the redshirt sophomore had fallen out of the first round, it’s understandable that he would decide to return to school for another season. Adebo started Stanford’s first nine games before suffering a season-ending injury (which remains undisclosed), accounting for 33 total tackles, four interceptions and 10 pass breakups. With a return to form in 2020, Adebo will have a shot at being a Day 1 selection in the 2021 NFL Draft.

According to Pro Football Network draft analyst Tony Pauline, some scouts are concerned about the “long speed” of Stanford redshirt sophomore DB Paulson Adebo.
Adebo (6'1/190) was viewed by some as a possible Day 1 pick at the start of the season, but overall the 2019 campaign was not a good one for the redshirt sophomore. And while it’s reported that he’s leaning towards entering the 2020 NFL Draft, such a move may be a bit premature in the eyes of Pauline. “I’m told cornerback Paulson Adebo is also now expected to enter the draft, another decision scouts feel is premature,” Pauline wrote. “Adebo is coming off a terrible season, which began early on when he was torched by UCF receiver Gabe Davis in Week three. There are also concerns about Adebo’s long speed.” Adebo accounted for 33 total tackles and four interceptions this season, with two of the picks coming in a win over Arizona.

Stanford redshirt sophomore CB Paulson Adebo (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against Notre Dame.
Adebo (6'1/189) has missed each of the last two games while working through an undisclosed health concern. It’ll be three straight games by the end of the holiday weekend. The redshirt sophomore has real upside for the draft -- he could push for a Day 1 selection -- should he declare this winter.

Stanford redshirt sophomore Paulson Adebo earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors this week following last weekend’s win over Arizona.
Adebo (6'1/189) grabbed two interceptions off of Arizona QB Khalil Tate. The pair of picks instantly doubled Adebo’s interception total on the season. His previous two interceptions were in last week’s game against UCLA and in the opener against Northwestern. Stanford face a quality Colorado passing offense in two weeks.

The Athletic’s Dane Brugler writes that Stanford redshirt sophomore CB Paulson Adebo could be a first-round pick in the right system.
Interesting. Adebo (6'1/189) was an analytical darling last year, grading as the top returning Pac-12 corner in large part because of his 24 passes defended last year. Brugler notes that he already has five through two games this year, and he also leads the Cardinal in tackles with 13. He has an intriguing matchup this weekend, facing off with UCF and talented wideout Gabriel Davis (6-3, 214). As Brugler summarizes: “Adebo won’t fit every scheme at the next level, but he can be a first-round player for the right team.”

Stanford received a verbal commitment from four-star 2017 ATH Saiid Adebo.
Stanford is putting together one of our favorite recruiting classes in the current cycle, particularly on offense. They currently hold commitments from five of ESPN 300’s top 65 prospects, all on the offensive side of the ball. Adebo can be counted among that lot, with the outlet ranking him as their No. 58 overall recruit for 2017. The 6-foot, 180-pounder was a longtime Notre Dame pledge, but backed off from that commitment earlier this month. ESPN’s scouting crew notes that while he is raw in the technical aspects of the game, he “shows natural play-making instincts.”

Stanford junior CB Paulson Adebo is Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded returning Pac-12 corner.
Adebo (6'1/189) is one of the better corners in college football and he’s a little younger than others at the position. As a sophomore last year, Adebo earned an 89.3 overall grade from PFF which bested the rest of the Pac-12 corners by a wide margin. A former four-star athlete, Adebo has the profile of a future NFL corner, but whether that’s in 2020 or 2021 is undetermined.
