McNeal was trying to convert from quarterback and could end up on a practice squad. The rest of these cuts came as no surprise.

Texas A & M QB Reggie McNeal ran an unofficial time of 4.37 at the NFL Scouting Combine.

That’s a ridiculous time for a quarterback. McNeal is highly athletic and has a big arm, making him an intriguing mid-level prospect. He’s one of our favorite possible second-day selections.

Bengals WR/QB Reggie McNeal was arrested Sunday for trying to get into a nightclub after it was closed.

McNeal reportedly became aggressive when told he couldn’t go in. The Bengals almost let the Chargers catch up for the title of most arrests in 2006, but this should clinch the honor.

Injuries and suspensions have left Cincinnati with just three healthy wideouts, so if RB Chris Perry isn’t able to return from the PUP list yet the team may turn to McNeal. Antonio Chatman, who caught his first two passes of the season last week, is the No. 3 receiver.

McNeal, already charged with resisting arrest, had a cigarette that contained an antihistamine that is used as a sedative. He has barely played this season and the Bengals may consider letting him go in the offseason.

“I would (switch positions) if I had to,” he said. “But I feel like I’m a quarterback,” That’s the position he played in college. Some pro teams view McNeal, who ran a 4.37 forty at the Combine, as a receiver.
