    Dolphins waived WR Todd Lowber.
Lowber has bounced around since getting a 2007 Super Bowl ring on the Giants’ practice squad. He is an excellent athlete, but lacks football polish.
  • MIA Wide Receiver
Giants released WR Todd Lowber, LS Nick Leeson, DT Brian Soi and OL Jacob Hobbs.
They were all first-year players with no shot to make the team.
  • MIA Wide Receiver
Cowboys released WR Todd Lowber, WR Danny Amendola, and RB Keon Lattimore.
The Hard Knocks heroes warmed America’s Hearts, but couldn’t make the team despite all of Dallas’ injuries. All of the above are practice squad candidates.
  • MIA Wide Receiver
Dolphins signed WR Todd Lowber to their practice squad.
That Papa Garrett’s can’t-miss project in Dallas took so long just to catch on with a practice squad doesn’t bode well. Lowber is an athlete, but has little football experience and is highly unlikely to help Miami before 2009.
  • FA Running Back #36
Dolphins signed FB Lex Hilliard, OLB Tearrius George, DL Joe Cohen, WR Todd Lowber, WR Anthony Armstrong, DB Scorpio Babers, CB Will Billingsley, and FB Chris Brown to reserve/future contracts.
Most of these players spent 2008 on the practice squad. Hilliard, last year’s sixth-round pick, offers little speed and probably doesn’t have a future in the NFL. Lowber isn’t the answer for Miami’s problems at wideout.
