He’ll provide depth at guard and tackle for the Silver and Black.

None of the players were expected to make the team.

Tucker was sidelined with a knee injury for nearly all of training camp. The former Dallas Cowboy was acquired this offseason after signing a two-year, $2.6 million offer sheet as a restricted free agent.

Coach Lane Kiffin says one will be signed by Friday. Tucker was a major bust with the Bucs last year. Hulsey is a reserve-type guard or center.

Tucker will provide depth on the line for the Texans.

Brink, the Texans’ seventh-round pick in April, is a prime candidate for the practice squad. Houston will open with two QBs on its roster; Sage Rosenfels and Matt Schaub. Coley had 15 tackles in the exhibition finale.

Terms haven’t been disclosed but Tucker’s agent Jordan Woy says it’s for “a lot” more than the one-year, $712,000 tender the ‘Boys offered his client. The third-year pro started ten games at left tackle last season. Woy thinks the Cowboys will match.

He will get a $100,000 bonus and a $1.2 million salary in 2006. The Cowboys have until Thursday to match the offer.
