Jaguars signed EDGE Travon Walker to a four-year, $110 million extension through 2030.
The deal includes $50 million at signing and $77 million in total guarantees. Walker, 25, has sacked opposing quarterbacks 29 times in regular season games over his four-year career. He banked four sacks last year, plus 42 quarterback pressures and a career-high 13.0 percent quarterback pressure rate. Fellow Jaguars EDGE Josh Hines-Allen is under contract through 2028. Today’s deal keeps the starting EDGE duo intact long-term.
  • JAC Wide Receiver #11
ESPN’s Michael DiRocco reports the Jaguars have had preliminary discussions about extensions for WR Parker Washington, TE Brenton Strange, and EDGE Travon Walker.
It was pointed out by John Shipley a few days ago that Wan’Dale Robinson’s free agent contract might be a starting point for the Washington extension. Walker is entering his final season under his rookie contract’s fifth-year option. Strange and Washington are both on the final year of their rookie contracts. The Jaguars have been uncharacteristically (and probably smartly, given their success last year) quiet in free agency, so perhaps they’re just focusing on locking up their core.
  • JAC Defensive End #44
Sports Illustrated’s John Shipley believes that the Jaguars could use the 2026 NFL Draft to “boost” their defensive line.
The front office could invest heavily in the defensive line, which currently includes three projected starters who have just one year remaining on their contracts. Former No. 1 overall pick, EDGE Travon Walker, is among them and is coming off a four-sack season, matching his 2022 rookie season total. He recorded 10 in 2024 and 11 in 2023. The team could draft an EDGE to groom behind Walker just in case they don’t complete an extension before the season. The Jaguars’ projected starting DTs are Arik Armstead, 32, and DaVon Hamilton, 29. Both players are scheduled to enter free agency next offseason. Given their age, it is reasonable to assume the Jaguars draft at least one interior defender in April. The team is returning every member of their offensive line this year. Shipley believes the Jaguars will use “at least one pick on a developmental offensive lineman.”
  • JAC Defensive End #44
Jaguars EDGE Travon Walker (knee) is practicing in full for Week 15 against the Jets.
Walker returned to practice for two limited sessions last week and played off a questionable tag on Sunday. Potentially facing the Brady Cook-led Jets, Walker should be able to return with a sack or two in Week 15.
  • JAC Wide Receiver #11
Jaguars declared WR Parker Washington (hip) inactive for Jacksonville’s Week 14 game against the Colts.
As expected based on earlier reporting, Washington will be scratched. He’s droppable if you have a late move you need to get in ahead of Sunday kickoff. Also inactive for the Jaguars are: S Andrew Wingard (concussion), Yasir Abdullah, OL Walker Little (concussion), TE Johnny Mundt, DL Emmanuel Ogbah and DL Austin Johnson. DL Travon Walker (knee), S Eric Murray (neck) and Arik Armstead (hand) are playing despite questionable tags in a huge game for the Jaguars.
  • JAC Defensive End #44
Jaguars EDGE Travon Walker (knee) is questionable for Jacksonville’s Week 14 game against the Colts.
Walker hasn’t played since Week 11, but was able to get in two limited sessions this week and appears to be trending towards a return in a must-win AFC South top-of-division showdown with the Colts. The pass rusher has had a somewhat disappointing year to this point with just 2.5 sacks in nine games. Arik Armstead (hand) and Eric Murray (neck) are also questionable for Jacksonville.

Jaguars EDGE Travon Walker (knee) is practicing on Thursday.
Almost undoubtedly a limited session after missing most of the last two weeks. The Jaguars are likely checking just how much Walker can give them ahead of Sunday’s massive top-of-AFC-South showdown with the Colts. It’s his first practice since ahead of Week 11.
  • JAC Defensive End #44
Jaguars EDGE Travon Walker (knee) won’t play in Jacksonville’s Week 13 game against the Titans.
Walker hasn’t practiced at all the last two weeks and will enter the Week 14 conversation on the questionable line. Walker has just 2.5 sacks in nine games this year and has been a bit of a disappointment after back-to-back 10-sack years in 2023 and 2024.
  • JAC Defensive End #44
Jaguars EDGE Travon Walker (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
Walker missed Week 12 with the knee issue and looks likely to sit for at least one more game. Walker has just 2.5 sacks this year. His absence doesn’t change much for Cam Ward and the Titans, who are taking on the Jags this week.
  • JAC Tight End #85
Jaguars TE Brenton Strange (hip) is active for Week 12 against the Cardinals.
Strange makes his return from injured reserve against a Cardinals defense that enters Week 12 having allowed the 12th-most receiving yards (617) to opposing tight ends. Players returning from lengthy, injury-induced absences make for risky starts. Strange could be a tad rusty, and the Jaguars’ pass-catching corps looks quite a bit different than it did when he last played, in Week 5. Strange must be viewed as a highly volatile fantasy option this week. The Jaguars declared WR Brian Thomas Jr., CB Jourdan Lewis, RB Cody Schrader, EDGE Travon Walker, LB Yasir Abdullah, OL Anton Harrison and TE Hunter Long inactive for Week 12 against the Cardinals.
