Xavier Worthy caught 3-of-7 passes for 23 yards in a Week 9 loss to the Bills.
To make matters worse, 18 of his 23 yards came on the final drive of the game when the Bills were in a prevent defense with the Chiefs needing to drive 60 yards in 23 seconds for a touchdown. The rest of the game, Worthy was not able to separate from the Bills’ defenders deep, and the Chiefs were unable to get him any touches over the middle of the field either. Worthy did tie for the team lead in targets, so the Chiefs clearly want to get him involved, but he has topped 55 yards receiving just once this season. Rashee Rice’s involvement in the offense is pushing Worthy down to a borderline WR3 option.

Xavier Worthy caught 5-of-7 targets for 53 yards in the Chiefs’ Week 8 win over the Commanders.
Worthy saw his role in the offense morph yet again following the return of Rashee Rice from suspension, this time working more short and intermediate areas of the field. He could struggle to return to the elite production he showed towards the end of his rookie season considering the elite involvement from both Rice and tight end Travis Kelce, particularly in the red zone. Consider Worthy a middling WR4 ahead of a showdown with the Bills in Week 9.

Xavier Worthy caught 3-of-4 targets for 35 yards in the Chiefs’ Week 7 win over the Raiders.
This marks the second-straight week that Worthy has seen four targets. The second-year receivers’ volume could only get harder to predict from here after Rashee Rice stepped in for the first time this season and immediately saw 10 targets while finding the end zone twice. Worthy briefly left Sunday’s contest with an apparent shoulder injury but returned after attempting to work through things on the sideline. Assuming the apparent injury doesn’t linger into Week 8, Worthy will be on the WR4 radar in next week’s game against the Commanders.

Xavier Worthy caught 2-of-4 targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs’ Week 6 win over the Lions, adding six yards on one carry.
Worthy continues to gut out multiple injuries after playing through a dislocated shoulder and ankle injury for the previous three games, this time finding the end zone early in the first quarter to put the Chiefs on the board. It will be interesting to see how the team handles the return of Rashee Rice in Week 7 considering the state of the pass-catching corps at present. Worthy sees a slight bump down to WR4 range with the return of Rice.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said he “anticipates” Xavier Worthy (shoulder/ankle) to be available against the Lions in Week 6.
Worthy, who was cleared off the injury report, was “moving around good” and “did everything” per Reid after missing Thursday’s session entirely. It does feel like Worthy is playing through the injuries as he’s had some fairly disappointing box scores compared to the amount of attention he could have gotten in the passing game. However he’ll be a WR2/WR3 borderline candidate against Detroit’s banged-up secondary in Week 6, his final week before Rashee Rice returns.

Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder/ankle) will not practice today.
Worthy practiced in full on Wednesday. This is likely just a rest day for Worthy, but his Friday participation level is obviously worth following. Worthy has logged WR2 and WR4 finishes since fully tearing his labrum during a shoulder dislocation in Week 1. If active, he will be a WR2 with upside in what should be a high-scoring game against the Lions on Sunday night.

Xavier Worthy caught 6-of-9 targets for 42 yards in the Chiefs’ Week 5 loss to the Jaguars, adding nine yards on one carry.
Worthy came into the contest listed as questionable after his ankle swelled up on him on the flight to Jacksonville, ultimately suiting up for the second consecutive game following a dislocated shoulder in Week 1. He functioned as the team’s primary option to the intermediate areas when on the field but saw his snaps monitored for the second game in a row. He briefly left the field of play in the third quarter with what appeared to be an aggravation of the ankle injury, but managed to finish the game while clearly hobbled. Fantasy managers will want to track his status closely as the team prepares for a potential shootout against the Lions in Week 6.

Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder/ankle) is active for Week 5 against the Jaguars.
Worthy returned to the lineup in Week 4 following two missed games with a separated shoulder but experienced swelling in his ankle on the flight to Jacksonville, ultimately prompting the questionable tag. He is active and will play against the Jaguars, giving the Chiefs their primary option through the air. Inactive for the Chiefs are CB Kristian Fulton, TE Jared Wiley, RB Elijah Mitchell, DT Omarr Norman-Lott, OL Hunter Nourzad, and DE Malik Herring

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Xavier Worthy (shoulder/ankle) “is expected to go” for Week 5 against the Jaguars.
According to Rapoport, the Chiefs’ decision to place Worthy on their injury report was more out of precaution. He then added that the second-year receiver “is fine” and should be good to go for Monday night’s game against the Jaguars. Despite the optimism to start the morning, fantasy managers will still want to check the Chiefs inactives 90 minutes before kickoff to ensure Worthy is officially in the clear for tonight’s tilt with the Jaguars.

Xavier Worthy (shoulder/ankle) has been added to the injury report and is questionable for Week 5 against the Jaguars.
This one comes from way out of left field. Worthy, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury since Week 1, was listed as a full participant in practice all week, but has apparently picked up an ankle injury since the team released its last report. We don’t have much information on his latest injury at this time, but a player picking up a new injury a day before his team is set to play is seldom a good sign. Fantasy managers like RotoPat, who are counting on Worthy to save their week, will have limited options available to them at this point in time. Tyquan Thornton could be worth adding off waivers, where possible, as an easy pivot off Worthy if he is ultimately ruled out 90 minutes before kickoff.
