ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Bucs are finalizing a deal to hire Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Robinson joined Atlanta two years ago when the team hired Raheem Morris as their head coach. He had previously worked under Sean McVay for five years, working his way up to pass game coordinator for the final two. Robinson started off strong, getting Atlanta to 13th in points scored despite Kirk Cousins struggling in his first year as a Falcon. The switch to Michael Penix in 2025 didn’t go as planned and the team cratered to 24th in scoring. The hope for Baker Mayfield and company will be that Robinson was simply dealt a bad hand in Atlanta. The hiring bodes particularly well for Bucky Irving. Atlanta ranked top-10 in rushing yards in both of Robinson’s seasons with the team.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Falcons OC Zac Robinson is meeting with the Eagles to discuss their offensive-coordinator vacancy.
Robinson is a branch off the Sean McVay coaching tree and has spent the last two seasons guiding the Falcons’ offensive unit. The 39-year-old coach led an offense that ranked 13th in points scored in 2024 but saw it fall outside the top 20 last season, thanks in part to injuries and the limited quarterback play of Michael Penix and Kirk Cousins. A lateral move to an offense with far more elite playmakers would bode well for Robinson, who could develop into a future head coaching candidate if he excels in his next OC role.

Lions are interviewing Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Robinson is from the Sean McVay coaching tree and has spent the last two seasons as the Falcons’ offensive coordinator. Though the mixture of Michael Penix Jr. and Kirk Cousins at quarterback did not work out, Robinson got productive seasons out of Drake London and Kyle Pitts to go along with a dual All-Pro 2025 season from Bijan Robinson. The Lions are continuing to look for a new offensive coordinator and Robinson has some history with Jared Goff from their days with the Rams.

Buccaneers completed an interview with Falcons OC Zac Robinson for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Robinson spent the first five seasons of his coaching career (2019-2023) working his way up Rams head coach Sean McVay’s coaching ranks, culminating in a two-year stint as the team’s passing game coordinator and QB coach. He signed on as the Falcons’ offensive coordinator in 2024. Robinson’s time spent learning under McVay could give him an edge in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers enjoyed offensive success under 2023 OC Liam Coen, who served as McVay’s offensive coordinator the year prior.

Buccaneers are expected to interview Falcons OC Zac Robinson for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
The Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud notes that Robinson spent five seasons with the Rams, “rising from assistant quarterbacks coach to passing game coordinator/QB coach” under head coach Sean McVay. Robinson served as the Falcons’ offensive coordinator from 2024-2025. The Falcons notably denied the Cowboys’ request to interview DC Jeff Ulbrich for their defensive coordinator vacancy. Perhaps, things will work out differently for Robinson.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Falcons OC Zac Robinson “is expected to be on the very short list” of names for Oklahoma State’s head coaching vacancy.
OSU just fired Mike Gundy in the middle of his 21st season as the team’s head coach. Robinson spent five years at Oklahoma State and was the team’s starting quarterback for three seasons. The connection between Robinson and OSU could also offer a mutual parting of ways for him and the Falcons. Atlanta is currently 1-2 with an offense that ranks 31st in points per game. Robinson will have plenty of time to prepare for his head coaching interviews if Michael Penix and the offense don’t turn things around soon.

Falcons hired Rams QBs coach Zac Robinson as offensive coordinator.
A 37-year-old former Oklahoma State quarterback who spent four years bouncing around the back end of NFL rosters, Robinson just got into coaching in 2019 under golden touch Rams boss Sean McVay. He progressed from assistant QBs coach to QBs coach and passing-game coordinator in the span of just four seasons. His relative inexperience is likely offset by his McVay tutelage. It’s arguably the most consistently productive coaching tree in recent NFL history, rivaled only by Kyle Shanahan. Robinson now needs to hope his new squad finds a quarterback.

Bucs requested an interview with Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson for the team’s offensive coordinator vacancy.
Just about everyone wants an interview with Robinson, the latest hot name off the Sean McVay coaching tree. The Patriots, Steelers, Raiders, and Saints have all expressed interest in Robinson, 37, who has worked for the Rams since 2019. He helped revive Matthew Stafford’s career in 2023 after a down 2022 campaign. The Bucs are replacing former OC Dave Canales, now the Panthers head coach. Tampa is talking to former Bills OC Ken Dorsey and former Eagles OC Brian Johnson about the vacancy.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Rams QBs coach/passing-game coordinator Zac Robinson is a “prime candidate” to serve as Raheem Morris’ offensive coordinator in Atlanta.
Robinson has already been connected to Pittsburgh and Las Vegas, but Atlanta makes too much sense from a continuity perspective. There are also some of the league’s most appealing offensive weapons to work with, save for the glaring exception of quarterback. Wherever it is, Robinson appears poised to move on from Los Angeles.

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reports the Steelers and Raiders have requested interviews with Rams pass-game coordinator Zac Robinson for their offensive coordinator vacancies.
Robinson is scheduled to meet with the Patriots on Tuesday and also interviewed with the Bears. Robinson has spent four years working alongside Sean McVay and helped coach the Rams to a top-10 season in passing yards this past year. A former quarterback and seventh-round pick of the Patriots in 2010, Robinson is on track to earn an offensive coordinator role soon, whether it be this year or the next.
