In sharing his mental health struggles with the hockey world, Robin Lehner didn’t just play at a high level with the New York Islanders, he also won the 2019 Masterton Trophy. His speech at the 2019 NHL Awards was quite inspiring, as you can see in the video above.
If you needed a helping of comic relief, then his Masterton Trophy win appears primed to also inspire some laughter.
Lehner shared a rather amusing typo/error on Twitter on Saturday, as it appears that his award lists him as a member of the New York Rangers, not the New York Islanders.

That’s even stranger than, say, the Islanders moving on from Lehner and replacing him with Semyon Varlamov, an older goalie who received the sort of term the Islanders weren’t interested in giving Lehner. You know, as a hypothetical example.
Lehner’s new team is no longer the Islanders or the Rangers, but instead the Chicago Blackhawks, on a one-year flier. It seems like Lehner is already getting settled in there, by the way:

If Lehner wins the 2020 Vezina, let’s hope that it is engraved as Lehner of the Chicago Wolves.
