How to watch FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup final between U.S., France

The U.S. faces France in the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup final on Sunday with tip-off at 2 p.m. ET, live on TNT, TruTV and HBO Max.

The Americans, on a 35-game World Cup win streak dating to 2006, eye a fifth consecutive world title in the biggest tournament between now and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

However, France has the highest average margin of victory at this World Cup in Berlin — 35.6 points per game through five games.

The U.S.’ five wins have come by an average of 27.8 points, including a three-point win over Italy in group play, its closest World Cup game since its last defeat in the semifinals in 2006.

France nearly upset the U.S. in the 2024 Olympic final — a 67-66 victory for the Americans for an eighth consecutive gold medal.

Who is on the U.S. women’s basketball roster at the 2026 FIBA World Cup?

Here’s the U.S. roster for the World Cup:

Aliyah Boston
Paige Bueckers
Sonia Citron
Caitlin Clark
Napheesa Collier
Kahleah Copper
Chelsea Gray
Rhyne Howard
Kiki Iriafen
Angel Reese
Breanna Stewart
Jackie Young

U.S. head coach Kara Lawson used the same starting lineup of veterans for each of the first five games: Gray, Young, Copper, Collier and Stewart.

Who isn’t playing for Team USA at the 2026 FIBA World Cup?

The U.S. is missing two key players — A’ja Wilson, the reigning MVP of the Olympics, World Cup, WNBA and WNBA Finals and fellow 2024 Olympic gold medalist Kelsey Plum, each withdrawing the week of the start of the tournament for health reasons.

Plum is out for the rest of the WNBA season with a reported lower leg injury.

Fellow Olympic gold medalists Brittney Griner, Sabrina Ionescu, Jewell Loyd and Alyssa Thomas also did not make the original 12-player roster.

The U.S. women’s national team plays at the FIBA World Cup from Sept. 4-13.
