How to watch the 2026 Prefontaine Classic: TV, live stream info, broadcast schedule, preview

The 2026 Prefontaine Classic, the most prestigious annual international track and field meet held in the U.S., takes place this Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, on NBC and Peacock.

The event is the lone Diamond League meet in the U.S., hosted annually at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field, and for the first time, it will take place on the fourth of July.

Competition starts Friday night, highlighted by distance races, and continues Saturday afternoon with the main program.

Headliners include Olympic gold medalists Sha’Carri Richardson (racing the 100m at Pre), Melissa Jefferson-Wooden (100m), Masai Russell (100m hurdles), Rai Benjamin (400m), Cole Hocker (mile), Faith Kipyegon (mile), Keely Hodgkinson (800m), Letsile Tebogo (200m), Tara Davis-Woodhall (long jump), Valarie Sion (discus), Katie Moon (pole vault), and Ryan Crouser (shot put). Athletes are building up to the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships — July 23-26 in New York City — and the World Athletics Ultimate Championships — Sept. 11-13 in Budapest.
