Tara and Johnny are going to the Super Bowl.

NBC figure skating analysts Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir will be event reporters at the Super Bowl XLIX pregame show on NBC, offering their unique take on the big game and the events surrounding it.

NBC’s pregame coverage from Glendale, Ariz., starts at noon ET on Feb. 1.

Lipinski and Weir will be based at the Super Bowl XLIX Tailgate Party, the official NFL pregame party for VIP guests, interviewing celebrities and providing their own Super Bowl observations.

“Having six hours of pregame coverage allows us to not only surround every aspect of the game, but also to cover the Super Bowl as the unparalleled event that it is,” said Sam Flood, Executive Producer for NBC Sports & NBCSN, and the producer of NBC’s Super Bowl XLIX pregame show. “We’re looking forward to Johnny and Tara bringing their fun perspective and style to the show.”

In addition to their figure skating work, Lipinski and Weir covered the Academy Awards red carpet and the Kentucky Derby last year.
