The 2026 World Road Running Championships in Copenhagen air live on Peacock on Saturday and Sunday.
The World Road Running Championships, which debuted in 2023, include women’s and men’s miles and 5km races on Friday and half marathons on Saturday.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen, U.S. record holders lead entries
Headline athletes include Norwegian Jakob Ingebrigtsen, who is entered in Friday’s 5km, one week after winning that distance on the track at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest.
Ingebrigtsen, an Olympic gold medalist in the 1500m in Tokyo and 5000m in Paris, eyes his first world title on the roads against a field that includes 2025 World 10,000m champion Jimmy Gressier of France.
American record holders entered include Yared Nuguse in the mile and Conner Mantz and Weini Kelati in the half marathons.
The U.S. roster also includes 2026 World Indoor 800m bronze medalist Addy Wiley (mile), Tokyo Olympic 3000m steeplechase silver medalist Courtney Frerichs (5km) and Jess McClain (half marathon), the fastest U.S. female marathoner in 2025 and 2026.
Uganda’s Joshua Cheptegei, an Olympic gold medalist in the 5000m and 10,000m, headlines the men’s half marathon entries.
