Ravens selected Michigan DT Rayshaun Benny with the No. 250 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Benny (6'3"/298) was a rotational player for Michigan for his first four years at the school -- he played in three games as a freshman before redshirting -- but he finally got a chance to be a starter in his redshirt senior campaign. He finished with 35 tackles and three tackles for loss while being named Third-team All-Big Ten for the Wolverines in 2025, and now will get a chance to be a rotational three-technique at the highest level. He’s not considered an upper-echelon pass rusher, but he has the strength to get off blocks and contribute on the first two downs. It’s hard to see Benny being much more than a depth piece, but the ability to stuff the run gives him a chance to be a relatively-early contributor.

Uncommitted four-star 2021 DL Rayshaun Benny narrowed down his list of schools to four finalists.
Benny (6'5/275) is rated as the no. 14 DL prospect and 201st overall player from the 2021 recruiting class. It should be noted that while the outlet lists him as a tackle, he may end up playing on the defensive line. That’s his preference and he’s being pursued as a DL by multiple programs. The mammoth lineman has set an October 25 date to announce his commitment. He named Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State as the final list of four teams he is still contemplating.

Uncommitted four-star 2021 T Rayshaun Benny remains uncertain as to when he will make his pledge.
“I kind of want to wait until December, but if they push back visits, I don’t know,” Benny said. The 6-foot-5, 270-pound tackle would like to take his fair share of visits if possible. The current dead period is set to last through at least Aug. 31, but there’s no guarantee that it will be lifted when we hit that date. As for who is in play for the Oak Park, Michigan, native, Penn State, Arkansas and Arizona State are all serious contenders and would likely draw official visits in the fall (again, should visits be possible). Home state program Michigan is also one to watch. Rivals ranks Benny as the No. 86 prospect in the 2021 class. We’ll close this item noting that while the outlet lists him as a tackle, he may end up playing on the defensive line. That’s his preference and he’s being pursued as a DL by multiple programs.
