Chelsea took the lead early but the Blues had to fight their way back to earn a point against newly promoted Hull City on Saturday.
Morgan Rogers opened the scoring after seven minutes with a laced finish, but Hull went ahead before halftime as Mohamed Belloumi scored twice in six minutes. Joao Pedro equalized in the 66th minute and finished with a goal and an assist for the third time in four Premier League games this season. More points dropped for Xabi Alonso’s side after they were beaten by champions Arsenal last weekend.
For Hull, it’s another brilliant result surpassed only by their dogged performance. The Tigers are mauling their way toward securing PL status for another season with eight points from four games, putting them 20 percent of the way to 40 points.

Are Hull City going to win the Premier League?! This one was a bit fortunate from a double deflection on the way in, but Mohamed Belloumi and Hull have two goals at Stamford Bridge. The home crowd is stunned, to say the least.
It was an awkward bouncing ball across the box for Chelsea’s defense to deal with, and no one did. Eventually, it bounced over Malo Gusto’s head to Mohamed Belloumi, who struck it sweetly and stuck it near post for 1-1.
Hull have conceded for the first time this season, and Chelsea made it look easy. From left to right, the ball moved from Cole Palmer to Joao Pedro to Morgan Rogers. There didn’t seem to be much of an opening at the near post, but Rogers fit it in and the Blues are ahead.
Hull are the only side yet to concede a Premier League goal this season, and nobody has scored more goals than Chelsea (8) through three games. Something has to give.

Xabi Alonso’s Chelsea are the great entertainers and they’ve been superb going forward so far this season.
Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro are basically unstoppable.
The Blues have scored 16 goals in five games across the League Cup and Premier League.
But they’ve conceded 10 goals across those five games and Alonso is trying to tweak things to find a better defensive balance.

Hull City fans can’t quite believe they are in the Premier League and neither can their manager, owner or players.
But they’re all making the absolute most of it.
Hull weren’t among the promotion favorites in the Championship last season but won the playoffs and now they’re back in the big time.
They followed up wins against Man United and Coventry City by battling to a draw at home against Aston Villa last weekend and already have seven points on the board.
Manager Sergej Jakirovic has them so well-organized defensively and they spring counters, whip in dangerous crosses and are a huge threat from set pieces.
Hull will sit deep and aim to pick Chelsea off on the break.
They’re playing like they have nothing to lose, because that’s true. They’re enjoying the ride and it’s a joy to watch.
