“Championes, championes, ole, ole, ole!” was the song of choice from the 2,700 traveling Chelsea fans as the players, staff and supporters went wild at the final whistle.

The title is Chelsea’s sixth all-time and fifth in the Premier League era and their final two games of the season, home encounters against Watford and Sunderland, will be a procession and see the Blues given a guard of honor onto the pitch.

On the final day of the PL season, May 21, they will lift the trophy at Stamford Bridge in front of their own fans.

So, Antonio Conte has won the title in his first season in the Premier League, taking the league by storm with his passion, attention for detail and his famed 3-4-3 formation. He has now won the league title in four consecutive seasons as a club manager.

With Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante leading the way, this feels like the beginning of a new era of dominance for the west London club.

Chelsea now have 87 points with two games to go, meaning they can get a total of 93 if they win their two remaining games. That’s two points behind the record points tally for a PL champ, set by Chelsea in 2005.
